So What Happened?

Thanh you for your answers! It sounds expensive to maintain.. For now I will try the suggestion of Dior lash primer.

They last a month or a bit less. I don't know what dipping is, so can't help there. There isn't any upkeep other than the fact that you have to go back every 3-4 weeks to have them redone as your regular eyelashes fall out. It takes quite a while to get the first set put in (a few hours) because they glue each fake eyelash to a real one. One at a time. Then when you go back in 3 weeks they do about a third of that work. I think you can swim with them, but you have to be careful not to rub them too much or hurt the glues with your makeup, so you would need to check to see if the chemicals in the pool you'll be swimming in can mess up the glue.

I used another brand of "Latisse" before it became a prescription. It was a great conditioner and had people ask all the time if they were fake.

My girlfriend has extensions and she has to be super careful about washing her make up off as she's been known to rub them right off. She goes reguarly for upkeep (about every 3-4 weeks). I believe she paid roughly $120 for a full set. For regular "fills" (your natural eyelashes do fall out along with your extension) she pays about $50. She actually doesn't wear mascara during the week, only when she goes out to avoid products that can break down the glue.

People really do this? Oh heavens I am out of the loop! I think I would have to pass. To me it seems like a waste.

I think extensions are going a bit far.

I've been asked if I have eyelash extensions!!! All I do is use the Christian Dior primer/conditioner before my Clinique High Impact mascara.

The Dior is a conditioner, makes lashes healthier and look much longer/thicker. It's about $30/ tube, last a few months. I love it!

I always daydream about doing this. A place near me does the full set for 70 dollars and a fill for 40 dollars once a month. I don't think you need to wear mascara with them, because they are so full and long already. I'm not suprised some women think this is too much. First of all, they probably have great eyelashes! Second, it is something new. Is it absurd to have tips put on your nails? Is it too far to paint your nails? After all they aren't naturally a color. How about a push up bra or girdle...that could be considered false advertising! The point is, it's non-surgical, non-invasive, and temporary. If you can afford it, why not? I keep looking for a special occasion to do it myself:)

I have only just started hearing about these things, but it seems that women are going a little far to make themselves look picture perfect. Love yourself the way God made you!!
