Love their hummus and sun dried tortilla shells!!! They also make yummy pre made food their little quiches are tasty and great for a quick treat for a party.
Hi Ladies,
I love to shop at Trader Joe's when I get the chance, but I only go there for a few items. I love their everything pretzels, soyaki sauce, and whole meat chicken nuggets, but I would love to find out what other people love to buy there. I hear their pizza dough is great, and I LOVE there fruit leathers (I buy the stems and pieces bag for $2.50). Suggestions would be grately appreciated. Thanks!
Thank you everyone! I went shopping to TJ's and got many of the recommendations. I plan to shop there on a regular basis, especially now that I have so many wonderful things to try. I even bought some of their reusable grocery bags for 99 cents. What a steal! It's fun going green!

Hi L., I absolutely luv luv luv the spicy peach salsa, pineapple salsa and the chips. I have tried several types of the chips and like them all. I also get the unsalted nuts. Trader Joe's is such a cool place....I wish they would put a store on the eastside though. I hope you try the salsa and chips, great snack or something quick. Have a Great Day ! Take care, C.
I love their frozen brown rice (so fluffy, good and convenient - they are often sold out of it). I also love their Fat Free Balsamic Vinagrette and their Fat free soy ginger vinagrette. I love that they sell gallons of organic milk (as opposed to half gallons that I get everywhere else). If you want a treat their Oatmeal Cranberry dunkers with white fudge drizzle are awesome. Oh, and how can I forget their guacamole??? SO DELICIOUS! OH, and one more thing - their triple layer hummus is GREAT!!
We love Trader Joe's Asparagus Risotto. It is in the frozen foods section. I am a vegetarian and use it as a main dish, but it would make a nice side dish too. Hope you like it if you decide to try it :)
I LOVE their mango shave cream. Smells wonderful!
I love the goat cheese pizza, chocolate covered soy nuts, and T.J. brand hummus.
I like their 2 buck chuck wine. You can get a case of it for $40! :)

Great question I am the same way!! I LOVE thier sparkling cranberry juice!!! it is 100% juice and i can put it in a fun glass and feel like i am having an adult drink with the rest of the group! (Drank it alot when pregnant to feel fancy!)
Their coffee beans are really good and are much cheaper than Starbucks. We're coffee snobs too. Their Chai Tea mix is good. I love their Sesame sticks. Pizza dough is good as well as their seasoned meats. Have fun!!
Hi L.,
I love TJs also. I actually go there specifically for their Roasted Garlic Marinara Sauce...yummy! Their pasta and their party size meatballs. I love their non-msg products as my 5 year old has an allergy to msg. My husband loves their stuffed flounder, so I always pick up a couple of those for him as well. Their breads are also good, but we did not like their chicken noodle soup at all. Hope you enjoy these if you try them!
Hi L.! We always buy several boxes of the Multigrain Baking & Pancake Mix. We make a ton of pancakes in our house, so I'd prefer they be as healthy as possible. They have the best frozen asparagus and really good frozen burritos, tamales, etc. Also, they have the best prices on cheese (I always have to have my Jarlsberg swiss and gouda). They have great prices on nuts and a very yummy natural mint cocoa. Oh, and the spicy chai latte mix is great too. If you like Indian food, their simmer sauces are wonderful (I love the Punjab spinach sauce).
Great question!
We love their sugar snap pea chips, chicken sausage (huge variety), dried mango (best I've ever had...not coated in sugar). Just a few favs off the top of my head.
Don't forget their frozen rice - brown & jasmine (when they have them). I keep some brown rice in the freezer when I don't have the 45 mins to cook it.
My favorites are their sesame sticks and frozen eggplant patties.
In addition to what everyone else has already mentioned....
in the freezer section:
Marinated Chipotle Chicken skewers
Chile Lime Chicken Burgers
Pasta Italiano
Dorot crushed garlic (great little frozen cubes of garlic to throw in recipes!) they also have Cilantro and other seasonings as well.
Trader Joe's is our primary grocer! I LOVE it! We buy our produce there, their hummus is AMAZING, my boys love their fish sticks, all tortilla chips/pretzels are GREAT, my boys also love their "pirate booty" - cheese popcorn-type snack. Their nuts and dried fruits are so reasonably priced. I could go on and on.
-Fresh Flowers
-Edamame
-Rice Bowls
-Salsa
-Cranberry Juice, pure, no sugar added. Great to mix with water and a bit of Slenda! Great cleansing drink!
-White Cheddar Soy Crisps
-Cinnamon, vanilla, sea salt
-expandable sponges
-dog treats
-frozen chicken drummies! Kids love these!
-Whole Wheat English Muffins
-Cheeses
-Steamed Chestnuts
Wow! That is my shopping list! I'm in the mood to go right now! Too bad I am 90 minutes north!
Where do I begin. The Dixie Peach Juice. And there is a marinated beef, Korean I believe that is great. Makes a lot and great for leftover sandwiches.
Hi L.-
I too love the stems and pieces Fruit Leather! We have gret luck with their cereals. My son (13 months) loves Puffins original. Also their fruit bars (called This Apple Walked into a Bar, Blueberry, Fig, etc) Really good!
We also love their frozen pizzas (pesto and Tarte d'Alsace) and their super sweet corn.
Good luck! I know if you don't prefer something, just take it back.

Hi, I love to shop at trader joes too and these items here always make my list.
The corn in cans are great for salad or corn chowder, they are sweet but no added sugar and crispy and at 99c you can't beat that. the frozen grilled chicken is great for fajitas and salads. the miso soup is great, my kids' favorite paired with noodles and they taste just like the real thing. the juices are awsome: the dixie peach, the orange mango, the lemonade ...the lemonade is made with evaporated sugar cane intead of corn syrup which you know is bad for you.And also the juice boxes for kids lunches.. the chicken sausages are great, in the meat section, the corn bread mix is awsome!!and it's an never failed one..you can pass it for made from scratch to score points..it's so easy to make and it's always comes out perfect... I could go on and on.. about my favorites things but it will take me a long time...hope this is a little beginning.. OH! Oh.. try the quesadillas and the little chimichangas, they are so good.. in the frozen section
alright I will stop here...it's a great place to shop.
My son loves the organic cheese and peanut butter cracker sandwich bites. They are a good size for his little hands. I also love the sparkling pink lemonade :) And they have their own brand of Cherios "Joes O's" that are only $1.99 for a big box - much better than Kroger brand and just as cheap. I also get the "hand full of nuts" pre-packaged servings of nuts and dried fruit. I know...it's not very green of me, but I keep packages in the diaper bag so when I need a pick-me-up, I can eat something good for me instead of getting a candy bar or donut.
Hey!
I love their whole wheat pizza crust, as are their whole wheat tortillas (cheap too). We just tried their pumpkin butter- pretty yummy on toast and the cinnamon almonds were a nice treat.
Our kids are about the same ages- my son is 2.5 and my daughter is 4 months old- and I used to teach 6th grade too!
Happy shopping,
J.
I live in Landen, but make a trip down to Trader Joes at least once a week. Thing I buy on a regular basis include: mild salsa, flax seed & soy chips, frozen chocolate bananas, frozen pumpkin pie, Jasmine brown rice, edamame, Orange chicken, organic F&Vs, rice crackers, and Organic Flax Plus cereal. Everyone in my house loves the cereal, and it's way cheaper than anywhere else I've seen it, so I typically buy 6 boxes at once.
string cheese, spinach salad kit, awesome fresh flowers, sesame melba crackers, roasted red pepper hummus, double roasted red pepper salsa, frozen stir fry vegetables, truffle brownie mix, semi-sweet chocolate chips, rice bowls, orange flavored dried cranberries
Absolutely, positively, hands down, the Mojito Salmon! It's in the frozen food section, and it's a great meal for two. My doctor recently put me on a regime of healthier eating and exercise, and this is one of my favorite meals.
Another thing I love (and swear by) is their Coconut Milk. Coconut oil is one of the healthiest foods on earth. The fatty acids in coconut oil are medium chain, which makes them almost identical to human breast milk. Coconut milk, when mixed with water (2 parts coconut milk to 1 part water -- add a little vanilla or almond extract, if you like) makes a wonderful substitute for cow's milk or soy milk. Right out of the can, it can be used in recipes just as you would use cream or milk. The natural flavor isn't sweet at all.
I highly recommend reading the book, "The Coconut Oil Miracle, " by Bruce Fife, C.N. (Certified Nutritionast), N.D. (Naturopathic Doctor). It's a real eye-opener, and you'll learn why this wonder food has gotten a bad rap. It's good for everything from the heart, to infections, to beautiful skin and hair. I can't live without it.
Everything I've ever tried at Trader Joe's has been a winner, but those two products are my current raves.
I am addicted to the Triple Ginger cookies and my kids love TJ's version of Pirate's Bootie called ""Unburied Treasure". But- my favorite thing about TJ's is not a particualr product, it is how kid-friendly they are! From the child-sized carts to finding the monkey and geting a "treat"- they make grocery shopping fun for my kids- and that is PRICELESS.
I love their chicken sausages. They come in a variety of flavors and most have vegetables tucked in them. It's a great way to get veggies in your little ones! I started with the maple syrup and apple one but they really enjoy the sun dried tomato one currently.
For my husband and I we love their frozen seafood. It's affordable and tastes great. We get their crab cakes, salmon wheels stuffed with spinach, tuna bugers, and salmon burgers (I even tried these with the boys but they weren't a hit at last not yet).
Enjoy!
Hello,
We love their Salsa and chips. It's great for get togethers and parties and yummy :)
Hi, L.!
The whole wheat pizza dough is great! And their rice bowls are fantastic. My kids love the mini ravioli, and their yogurt. Oh, and the Envirokids Gorilla Munch cereal. It's organic, and yummy! Their jams are great, and their individually frozen chicken breasts are great for putting on the George Foreman grill for a quick lunch. Oh, and we love the Jo Jo's cookies and the Chocolate Cat Cookies (there are also ginger and vanilla ones). They're better than Teddy Grahams!
I could go on for HOURS! But just look around, let the kids push the little cart around and sample their wares. Michelle, one of their staff, is wonderful with kids, and always has a little bag of cookies or something for the littlest ones when she's in the back.
Hope this helps out, from one Middle School Teacher to another! (I taught 6th grade ESL/English and History!)

My daughter got me hooked on Trader Joe's Hot Chocolate mix with Mint. . . It is delicious. It seems you can only purchase it during the winter months. So we stock up. Praise God on high. . . and Enjoy~
Praise God! I also Love the Lord Jesus and thank him everyday for everything!
I really enjoy Trader Joes as well. I especially like the Lobster Bisque, the Salmon burgers and the crabmeat stuffed salmon.
We love Trader joe's too! Yes, their whole wheat pizza dough is great and only 99cents. We also love their stuffed chicken breasts and pok chops. You don't have to thaw them out before cooking- pretty low calories too. We also buy their sea salt pita chips and eat that with hummus-kids love it too. they think it's chips and dip Hehe. We also buy their pasta enriched with Flax, tastes great and very good for you. Their quiches are great too- not great for you but really yummy. I also buy their cookie dough balls in the frozen food section. Their chicken chimichungas are awesome too! Ok, now I am hungry. My son really likes their kid Cliff energy bars too. Happy shopping.
Um...everything? Seriously, it's all good. I get a lot of their simmer sauces and stick them in the crock pot with some chicken and viola dinner! I highly recommend any of the indian and thai bottled sauces and my all time favorite is their chocolate covered edamame. Also good are their marinaras and tapenades. Their bread mixes are wonderful too, especially the pumpkin bread and cornbread. I wasn't thrilled with the banana bread. I really think it would be hard to go wrong. Happy shopping!
guaco-salsa with yellow corn tortilla chips...yummm
no-pudge fudge is awesome, and the banana bread mix.
Hi,
I'm not sure if you still need suggestions for things to buy at trader joe's, but I'm a long-time shopper there, and I miss it being nearby (I recently moved here).
What I usually love to buy at trader joes' is their wholewheat pastas, their dips, and particularly their 100% juices that they offer in a variety. I also really like their glycerin soap that is much less harsh on the hands, but cleans very nicely. They have a good selection of wines and seeded breads as well.
Pot Stickers, Naan, marinated tuna steaks, carbonated juices - esp. pommegranate, hummus, sooooo many things
