Does anyone have any field trip ideas for the Girl Scout Petal "Responsible for what I say and do"

The girls are kindergartners.

Thanks!

What can I do next?

Picnic at the park?

And here's the catch: assign everyone to bring something. (I'm hoping you have a lot of parent support?). Have everyone promise to bring it. That's "responsible for what I say."

When you leave, you can introduce the rule, "Always leave a place cleaner than you found it." Bring a digital camera, for before pictures, and have the girls clean up their things, so that it looks better than when they came (or at least, just as clean!) That's "responsible for what I do."

We didn't do a field trip for that one, but here's an activity we did: have each girl draw or color a picture (or if that's too traumatic, just use a piece of paper) and then crumple it up in a ball. Try to smooth it out so it looks like it did before--you can't do it. That's how it is with our words as well. They can hurt and even if we try to apologize and smooth things over, it can't go back to the way it used to be. We need to try to think about others before we say or do things that will hurt them.

I hope that helps!

Can you take them to volunteer somewhere? You can do a search for volunteer opps in your area by age and zip code. Here is one that might be nice for a group of daisies:
