Hi Moms and Dads! We live in DFW and our family has always been out of town on July 4th weekend. We are unexpectedly going to be home for the 4th and was wondering where fun festivities and a good firework show is around here. I googled fireworks for DFW and noticed a lot of shows, Plano, Frisco, Arlington, Flower mound, Grapevine and the list goes on. I could just pick one of these, but wondered if ya'll have been to any of those and recommend one. We live in south Arlington, near Mansfield so anywhere will be a drive, but worth it to have a good time and fireworks. I'd prefer something kid and family friendly too. I have a 5 yr old. Thanks and Happy Fourth of July!!! God Bless America!!!!

On July 3rd there will be the 45th Annual Arlington 4th of July Parade. It starts at 9am. The kids love and enjoy it. You can find out more on their website www.arlington4th.org... I belong to a Navy Mother's club and this will be our 3rd year in the parade. Have a great 4th!

We live in S. Arlington, near Mansfield, too. For the last 3 years, we have gone to the Cats Baseball Game in Fort Worth and stayed for the fireworks show afterwards. Love seeing fireworks while listening to patriotic music.

Also, I was at the Mansfield Women's Division luncheon on Thursday and the Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department was promoting their Fourth of July festivities. Go to www.mansfield-tx.org to see the Rocking 4th of July flyer for more details or email me at ____@____.com and I'll send it to you.

Have a great time whatever you do!

My family has always enjoyed the "Stars and Stripes" celebration at Southlake Town Square. This year, it's on July 3rd from 5pm-10pm. You can stake out a spot on the lawn with your blanket, then leave the family there while you do a little shopping!

We moved to mansfield this time last year and attended the Mansfield 4th celebration. It is held at the Field of Dreams and was a lot of fun. Music, bounce houses, games and vendors all kid friendly. It was great and we will be going there again this year.

Lone Star Park is having fireworks and a concert. I think they are doing it July 3rd and 4th, so, you could go to LoneStar Park one night and somewhere else the next. Also, I know Grapevine has fireworks on the lake every Friday night.

I have to second the Cats game. It's reasonably priced and fun. We sat in the super cheap seats, where you bring your own chair, so our son could run around. And after the game you are in a great spot for the fireworks show!
