Call the American Red Cross local chapter, they have one in Fort Myers. My son and husband just took a CPR/First Aid class that included infant and children.
I need to take a FIRST AIDE and CPR training specifically for kids. with Google I've found only St-Joseph's hospital and Red Cross. Their prices range between $70 to $80. I need to compare the prices if it could be for free that would be way more better.

Spring Hill fire-rescue, in Hernando County, does free cpr certification on the first friday of every month. ###-###-####
Hi Sarah,
I actually runa home day care and had to go through numerous trainings. I have found that there are other organizations that give the trainings for much less and the certification lasts a year longer. I recently took both classes for $35 with Janice Williamson. Her number is ###-###-####. I sent my subs to Central FL Safety Training and the price was the same. Their number is 1-800-211-5599.
Good Luck,
If I can be of further assistance give me a call ###-###-#### email ____@____.com or mamasource me.

My local YMCA offers both these couress. They run around $40 for each class.
Sometimes the local fire department offers this for free or a very small sum.
There is a Mr. Kanner in Spring Hill that teaches first aid and CPR . I know he instructs elementary teachers too. Perhaps you could find a session through your local fire/Rescue station that is who arranges these things in our community for summer life guards, camp counselors, etc.
Morning! I took the cpr /first aid class with Red Cross and it is excellant! They help you to understand each step and will answer any questions you may have. I am also a Red Cross volinteer for many years and enjoy giving back t o the community. Hope this helps! Remember, CPR needs to be undated also every year now.
Godd luck in your day care.
I did it at Sarasota Memorial for about $40, if I remember right. It covered adults and children both. It was a good class - we had a great teacher.

To open a home childcare, you actually need to be certified in all cpr: adult/child/infant. I know, I work in the one owned/operated by my best friend.
But I do have an alternative suggestion for you, though I don't know where you live. We had our training through a firefighter (certified to teach, of course)named Nelson DeJesus. His informatin is www.nelsonscprfirstaidtraining.com and number is ###-###-####. The cost was $25 per class, and it was approximately from 8:30-1:30 for both on the same day, usually on the weekends. Once you do your training you get little certification cards that need to be in your file for when your daycare gets inspected, which is several times a year. The CPR is good for 2 years, and the First Aid is good for 3 years.
Mr. DeJesus is in the Mary Magdelene/Lutz area of Tampa.
In Oldsmar, our Fire Dept. usually offers a once/month training course - you might check with your local Fire Dept.
Try the following:
Brandon Regional Hospital
Baby Bungalow
Brandon Family and Resource Center
Good luck.
where do you live? I know someone who teaches cpr/ first aide

I work for the American Heart Association. We do not personally provide training, but we do have a number of training centers that are certified by the AHA. I have provided you a link to our website where you can search for a certified training center closest to you. The program you most likely want is our Friends and Family course.
The AHA also developed a CPR Anytime kit that allows you to learn CPR in your own home. The kit provides you with a miniature manikin to learn on. The nice thing about this is you can share the kit with your family and friends. I have provided the link for ordering this as well.
I hope this info helps you.

I believe the Temple Terrace Fire Department may offer a free CPR course. I just looked at their website, and the next class may be in May.
try the YMCA. different locations do it on different saturdays
Check your local fire and rescue station or the ymca.
Check with the Red Cross. They offer all types of classes for pretty low rates. This is where I went to get my CPR training when I was a Home Daycare provider! Good luck!
Try citizens CPR they have a course for 23.
I had infant CPR and choking training w/ my childbirth class @ University Community Hospital. I'd check to see if they have a class by itself outside of the childbirth class which the total cost was that much, so it should be cheaper.
I own a wheelchair transport company and use a fella who also teaches at the local college. He is a Paramedic/firefigher and if you are local (New Port Richey area) he comes to your house and I am pretty sure only charges between $25-$30 per class. If you want his information you can email me at ____@____.com. Thanks S.
University Community Hospital offers training programs. I am not sure of the cost.
Check out your local YMCA. They have 14 branches in the Tampa Metropolitan area. They offer CPR, CPR Pro, AED, O2, and First Aid.
