Hi N. -- Congratulations! I reminder being pregnant with my eldest daughter (who's now 6) and being completely overwhelmed by all the conflicting info in books, magazines, websites and other moms. My best advice is to take what works for you! I found going with my gutt reaction was usually best. I found trying to eat healthy and get a little exercise made me felt best. Nothing wrong with having extra treats like icecream or milkshakes, but keeping healthy and strong made me feel good throughout most of both my pregnancies. Getting out for walks, even short ones toward the end, helped me feel better, sleep better and kept mood swings away. Best of luck to you!

Congratulations 1st of... but take from someone whos in mine 4th pregnancy, none are the same. There's always things that change, especially your mood. But I'll tell you only one good advice that others here already didnt. Keep good, trustworthy friends and family close by always, they will be your lifesaver whenever all gets too crazy. You didnt mention about the dad, but if alls ok between you two, keep him close too. In all get some good support around you. Its wonderfull to be a mom and you'll going on the right path already it seams, but you will go crazy doing it all alone! So stay healthy, by eating good, and try to walk n do all the good things you hear about, just dont forget mommys need help too, n good friends n family will be the best remedy!!!

Congrats to you!
Toward the end of your pregnancy -- get the book "What to Expect the First Year". You will need to read the first few chapters before you give birth!!! Also, for fun -- "The Girlfriends' Guide to Pregnancy", etc.
Keep busy when you aren't too tired, helps sometimes if you are not feeling great. Enjoy this time -- it's all about you until the little one makes his/her entrance, take advantage of this time for yourself, get a pedicure, massage. No one ever can explain how difficult it is after you leave the hospital with your 1st child. The lack of sleep is very tough, but thankfully, the baby makes up for it by being so cute! You have lots of decisions to make -- breast or bottle or both, natural or drugs. Just remember, you can change your mind any time, and sometimes decisions are made for you by nature. Don't be discouraged if things don't always go according to a plan. Take care of you and your little one,
-J.

Congratulations! Just wanted to give you another website to check out http://talk.sheknows.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3 find your due date forum and introduce yourself. the friends I made on a due date message board when I was first pregnant were a huge source of information and support for me. It can be so helpful to talk to and ask questions with other ladies who are at the exact same phase of pregnancy as you are. Good luck to you :)

Well I would dido the first person. Only you will be able to say this or that was a good or bad day. I know I had good days, bad days, and inbetween days. Actually more inbetween days than not. I was fine with being pregnant until I went past my due date and grew much larger. Those two weeks were the worst. The best part is hearing the heart beat and seeing your baby inside of you. No words are great enough for what you will feel. Let me know if you have more questions I would be happy to help you out.

You should try this book from http://pregnancyhours.com/naturalbirth. This book is such a wonderful, comprehensive resource! It is one I wish I had had access to when I was pregnant 8 1/2 years ago. Lleaon uses her extensive knowledge of herbal, traditional and ancient remedies to give you a complete guide to helping with every ailment and issue that can arise during pregnancy and preparing for birth. This book will be useful to any woman wanting to naturally deal with the common complaints and issues that arise during pregnancy such as itchy skin, hemorrhoids, edema, melasma, insomnia to name a few. I highly recommend this book for any woman who is expecting!

HI N., congrats, and welcome to the club. 1st of all buy the book, "What To Expect When You're Expecting", it's great. 2nd, unfortunately every woman's experience with pregnancy is different and unique. I know that my Doc. said to stay away from too much tuna/the mercury and caffenated drinks, and of course booze. Which was hard for me because with my cravings I craved tuna and beer (which I hate). I had morning sickness from about 2 mths until I was about 4 mths prego. Lemon and ginger helped me, sour stuff like Preggie Pops and Drops helped. I kept a "Morning Sickness Kit" in my car: Plastic bags, preggie pop drops, wet whips, toothpaste and brush, bottled water, saltines, and gum. Never let yourself get hungry, I found it was best if I snacked all day, keep snacks in your purse. I got a really big headache if I let myself get hungry. Drink looottttsss of water, I know, stinks cuz you have to pee all the time, but you need the water. Take your vitamins everyday. Bananas are a good source of folic acid but they can constipate, so in moderation. It's all trial and error Hon, so good luck and enjoy, there's nothing like it, being preggo. I'm actually trying for our 2nd, I have a 18 mth old now. Have a wonderful Mother's Day, Mom to Be!

first off,
congrats on your pregnancy. nobody can tell you how your pregnancy will feel b/c everyone is different. some women get sick for the 1st 3 months others don't get sick at all, and some are sick their whole pregnancy. i can tell you this though. you will be exhausted in your 1st trimester tired all the time, that is your body. make sure you get plenty of rest b/c there will be very little rest when the baby comes. also make sure you take your prenantal vitamins and get plenty of calcium milk cheese etc. or a calcium supplememnt b/c the baby east up alot of yours. also make sure you don't eat tuna fish more than 2x a week b/c of the mercury. they say you should stay away from deli meats as well b/c of some ingridient in them not sure if that is true though. eat lots of fruits and veggies as well. limit caffenine intake. your second trimester will be the best of all three trimesters. it was for me anyway. here a few websites to check out. e-pregnancy.com ivillage.com and pregnancy.com are all awesome websites. you can track your weekly progress on e-pregnancy.com. well i hiope some of this helps you out and good luck. keep us moms posted on your progress and relax.

Hi N.!!

Congratulations!! I will help you any way that I can to get throught this most wonderful time of your life!!
Do yourself a favor though and stay away from moldy cheeses (blue cheese that sort of thing) and sport fish (sword, marlin, tuna they tend to be high in mercury). Fruit is one of the best and nutritional ways to go. I was pregnant throughout the summer, and watermelon was my best friend. Keeps you cool and gets fluids into you all at the same time!! Drink lots of water too.
I personally felt the worst in August, it was hot and I was about 7 1/2 months prego. Best was probably around 5 months, because I started showing more and felt the baby move lots.
If you're a reader, I've got some great books for you.
Where are you from?
Good luck!! Just remember to stay positive!!!
