I think my almost-six-month-old is teething (suddenly gnawing on everything instead of just sucking and a couple of sleepless nights in a row), but I see nor feel anything on the bottom or top middle. However, I do see a white speck where the eye-tooth might be. All I've read is that the bottom and/or top middle come in first. Anyone out there get the canines first? Is this normal?
How funny!...me too! I have been suspecting my 4.5 month old may be starting to teethe- and all I can see is a tiny white dot on the top left of his mouth. I didn't know who to ask or where to find out more about it- so I am so glad to read your post. Looking forward to reading the reponses...
My daughter who is now 11 yrs old got her Canines at 5 mos and my other 3 kids got their top left front tooth at 6+ mos. Looks like baby 5 is teeting and I am not sure what tooth he'll get can't see anything. My daughter got her teeth early and lost them earlier then my others. Good Luck. I have always used Children Motrion. I woudl swab the area where the teeth were. Worked just as good as the Orajel.
With my son it was textbook-- all the right teeth at all the right times. The,n with my daughter they came in out of order and at any time at all. The Dr said both were normal. I think the books are the majority, but the minority is ok too.
My daughter got her canines first. I did not know they were coming in the dr saw the swelling and mentioned they were coming in. He said it was fine. 2-3 months after that she got her front teeth...or is getting them. you will have a cute little vampire for awhile !!!

My girlfriends daughter got her canines first. They just took pictures of her "fangs" and made the most of it. All her other teeth came in fine.

My friend's little girl got her "pointers" first and looked like a vampire for a few months (soooo cute). Anything is possible so don't fret. Get some teething tablets and tylenol and be proud she is getting teeth. Good Luck
