Mustard is OK but please cut the hot dog lengthwise and then in small pieces, to be safe. Read this for more info on common foods that are choking hazards for young kids:

Can I feed my 1 year old yellow mustard on hotdogs, or any of my sandwiches? He likes to eat whatever my fiance or I eat. We call him a glutton, a big eater. He gets upset by grunting or turns bright red if he does not get a little of our food. When we share our food, our 1 year old walks around happy.

Yes mustard is fine. Its awesome that hes a great eater!!! I wish my son were that way.
Just remember to avoid peanut butter till age 2 and also HONEY!
Other than that... enjoy the grubbing!
At this point, they can basically eat anything that is soft enough and cut into small enough pieces.

You should be testing food on a 3 day each basis - for allergies - first.
Try simple foods first, but I recognize the little guy's frustration -Mama and Dada have something good going for them!
Don't create a food problem for him this early on; sharing food is social and normal. However, you need to do it judiciously - three day testing for each food is important. First day introduces, second day gives body a chance to really decide and third day, if they are allergic, the symptoms will have shown up by then.
Contact your pediatrician if any signs or symptoms of allergies show up!
mustard is fine - if he isn't allergic : ) My little guy liked 'hot noodles' a curry dish called Singapore Mei Fun. Be very careful of anything prepared outside your home, and I would hold off on luncheon meats, if not for the same issues of listeria that a pregnant woman has to avoid, but for the salts and preservatives that are used. Being very sparing on grains at this age is a good idea too - I used to feed my little guy peas and spinach and all kinds of veggies for breakfast. Don't forget to include cuts of meat still in their own juices/fats - organic if you can remember! - to help him with his brain development.
Don't call a little kid names though. Behave as though he were a person you were just introduced to recently and you will get along fine. After all, you WERE just introduced a year or so ago! he's still getting acclimated to our side of the world and has enough problems without acquiring a label to boot!
Good luck to the little guy,
M.
If you are wondering if mustard is ok for him at that age--yes. most anykinds of foods are ok after 1 year of age.
All of my kids have tried what I was having but sometimes I needed to let them learn that they can be happy with whatever I place in front of them. Giving him a bite once in a while is ok but if you do it every time he will exspect it every time.
yeah mustard is fine. make sure to cut up the hotdogs though small bites :) let him eat whatever he wants just keep track in case of an allergic reaction. hope he stays that way the older they get the pickier they get haha! try to teach "please can i have a bite" or something that way he doesn't have to get mad or teach him sign language gestures to communicate.
