Hi Ronda,
I grew up with Ulcerative Colitis and when I was young I always dodged popcorn....saying that to say this, intestinal issues can be completely healed. It is not a genetic condition. It's a matter of keeping your colon healthy. The inception of the internet saved my life. My medical doctors told me I would be dead at 50, die childless and crippled until then. I'm 57, feel better now than I did at 20 and am enjoying my first grandchild. Popcorn is not evil....BUT, you have to get to the point that you are healed. It's not as hard as the medical community makes it. They take symptoms and attack them, much like a roped horse attacks the rope instead of the man holding the rope.
Avoiding synthetic chemicals in all forms, a diet high in fiber, low in sugar (sugar comes in MANY forms), and getting the nutritional things you eat to actually absorb is the key. Medicines don't help and the longer you have these issues, the more prone you are to the cancers. Avoid the popcorn for now...if you want to pick my brain, I'm an open book. I HATE to see anyone live like I lived for 35 years of my life....
Regards,
M.
