No. The state of Texas doesn't pay for a child to attend any type of school regardless of age.

No. Two strikes - they don't pay for pre-k AND they don't pay for any private schools. Some HISD schools have pre-k (not many) but you have to pay for them. They are usually half-day.

No. Texas doesn't have a voucher system for choosing an alternative to public school. If you are Catholic, you can call your diocese and ask if you would qualify for their scholarship or discounted tuition program. There are usually certain schools in the diocese that accept the scholarship.

Many Texas school districts and quality child care centers are now in competition for your child to attend their pre-K. This is causing programs to offer more and better options in some cases, so you can shop around and see which ISD charter program or public school will be the best fit for your child.
