Edit...They are not in one house. THe boys are in the same house in NC and the girl is in Vegas. (we are in Cincinnati)
We will be seeing the boys in NC over NewYears too if that helps

My son is 3 and loves Thomas the Train and there are new toys out from the Disney Chuggington cartoon that he really wants for Christmas. He likes any toy that has to do with transportation (trains, cars, airplanes, monster trucks, etc.). Maybe that will help. And I also have a 5 year old girl. She likes Zhuzhu Pets, barbie dolls, anything to do with coloring or painting and she also likes iCarly. I hope this helps :)

I just bought a couple of Lego kits for 3-4 y/o boys. They come in all prices, all genres (seasame st, toy story, indian jones, and the traditional generic pretend play) and age ranges...it looks like fun to me :)
My 4 y/o girl is really in to pretend makeup/dress up. She also likes art stuff, like jewelry and and candy making kits, and glitter, glue, and stickers/tattoos. There are Crayola Mess Free kits with paint, markers, stamps, etc for this age. Have fun shopping!

Most kids I know in that age range love getting mail addressed to them, so how about a children's magazine subscription? For the 3YO, maybe something like National Wildlife Foundation's "Your Big Backyard" http://www.shopnwf.org/Magazines/2780-NWF2001-Your-Big-Ba... , for the 5YO and 6YO something like National Geographic Kids https://w1.buysub.com/pubs/NG/NWO/NoPremiumKIDSoffer10.js...
Or how about one of the Highlights for kids magazines http://www.highlights.com/highlights-magazines-for-kids
or one of the Cricket magazines

A friend told me to get Richard Scary's Busy Town Game for my son. He LOVES it. It's probably better for the 3-year-old, but the 6-year-old will enjoy it for another year or two as well. I don't know about the others:(

Are they all in one house or are they in seperate families?

Custom puzzles with their photos or I have gotten hold of the photos of their messy rooms and had puzzles made from them.

The Twizzler, it hangs from a tree and spins.. Our daughter loved that thing..

Board Games
Indoor pop up tents with flash lights.

If $30 each is in your budget, then that's great! Otherwise, they won't know the difference if you spend $20. Remember -- you have to ship it, as well.

Here are some gift ideas for the neice:
- Books!
- Writing journal
- Hair things -- headbands, ponytail holders, etc.
- Fingernail polish
- Cute pantyhose

Nephew gift ideas:
- Legos
- Any action figurine (GI Joe-like)
- Transformers
- Play swords/guns (if parents are okay with that)
- Cars/vehicles
- Boy books

Ideas for both:
- Gum (maybe not for the 3 year old)
- Jump ropes (again, not for the 3 year old)
- Bibles
- Coloring and/or painting books
- Kid's digital cameras
- Kid's flavored chapstick
- Bubble bath

I hope that helps!! Have fun!

We have always given our nieces and nephews one book and one toy (or now for the nieces that are older, one book and some clothes).
Our nieces were always into crafty things (little jewelry-making sets or fancy paper and scissors that make fun decorative cuts, stuff like that). The nephews were always puzzles or cars. One family has been going through a Playmobile phase for the last couple of years, and the sets are all really fun.

I would also shoot off an email to the parents to see if they have suggestions (we always email all our siblings for ideas for their families because it's hard to know what kids are interested in when you don't see them that often).

Hope this helps and good luck!

Discovery Toys has lots of great products they will love and they can poof on their doorsteps saving you the challenge of boxing and shipping!
For the 3 year old, Motorworks is always a huge hit. A car, plane and motorcycle you can take apart and put together with a real drill. Love the carrying case that make keeping the pieces together a snap! The 6 year old would love it too!
For the 6 year old, the #1 toy by far is Marbleworks. A construction set that creates a raceway for marbles that even adults can't resist. It's been a top seller for years!
For the 5 year old, Once Upon a Time is a hit. An interactive book where the child gets to be in control and don't they always want to be? :-) Playful Patterns is another very popular item with a half inch stack of patterns to build using foam pieces that stay in place helping success be a snap.
There are lots of other ideas at www.toyladyjanet.com. Please contact me if I can answer questions and help in any way.

I have a 5 year old daughter and one item that she is getting for Xmas that is around $30 is the pink Lego set. I've seen it at Target and Toys R Us, both in store and online (about $2 cheaper at Target). It's in a box that's easy to ship, or just order it online and ship it directly to her. If you want to do the same for the nephews, there are tons of Lego choices for boys!
