I have a Sharp and I would NOT recommend it. It does suck up pretty well but it will not hold a charge long at all.
I use my Oreck. I have tile, wood and travertine.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good vacuum that is cordless/rechargeable that would be good for use on concrete flooring? We are moving into a house with concrete flooring, and I want to use something that doesn't require a lot of bending down (plugging in, use of a dustpan, etc.). I have something currently, but it doesn't suck very well, so I'd need something a little stronger. Thanks!

I have the electrolux ergorapido. Got it at Costco, great cordless vac with an additional small detachable one for stairs or small clean ups. Good power, has a high and low setting.
Only negative is that it does not hold full charge for a long period of time, probably enough time to do one room at a time. So not great if you do all your cleaning at once.
Dirt Devil Red Breeze Upright Vacuum
$59 at home depot.
I have one of these that I use on my stained concrete floors. Its lightweight & doesnt require bending over. Works very well. I also have a hand held dirt devil that is cordless that was about $40 at home depot. Be sure to get the higher voltage like an 18v, those are better than the 14 or 15v. The voltage makes a huge difference& lasts longer during your cleaning spree.I have 2 little ones so I have an endless stream of crumbs on my floors! Its a full time job keeping them clean. Good luck to you & if you find an easier fix let me know. I'll be watching your responses.
