Greasy Eyelid. Any Suggestions on Eyeliner and Mascara?

I have extremely greasy eyelids. When I put on eyeliner, shadow or mascara, I look like a raccoon within 10 minutes. I've tried waterproof which doesn't help since it is oil (why isn't there oil proof)? I've tried some primers but didn't really help either. Any suggestions for you ladies with greasy eyelids? What eyeliner stays on and doesn't leave u looking like a raccoon?

What can I do next?

You need to use a primer first - I will suggest either Too Faced Shadow Inurance, Benefit's Stay Don't Stray or Bare Essentual's Prime Time. I too have greasy eye lids and LOVE LOVE LOVE dramatic make up! The only thing that will work is to
1. Prime eye lids
2. DO NO PUT FOUNDATION ON EYE LIDS
3. apply powder make up to lid OR
4. apply creme shadow and SET with simmilar colored or "finishing powder" to set the creme shadow.
5. Use a gel or a cremy eye liner and again SET with an eye shadow powder in a matching color. Make sure you use concealer under eye and set with finishing powder as well.
If you properly do all of these things you should be good to go!

I had my makeup done for my girls' Baptism by this WONDERFUL makeup artist who gave me an awesome trick for my greasy lids/skin. Phillips Milk Of Magnesium!! sounds crazy I know, but I told her how I stuggle w/makeup b/c one hour after i apply it im shinning like crazy and so she told me dont worry i know just the trick for that. She generously applied the MOG(milk of magnesium) with a cotton ball all over my face/eyelids and let it dry. Dont worry if you get white streaks b/c once you apply your foundation it all blends in together, and then she applied the rest of my makeup/shadow and OMG i couldnt believe it, 11 hrs later my makeup looked AMAZING!!!! No shine what so ever!! eye shadow intact!! So that's what i use now when i have somewhere special to go, at first i tried using it as an every day but it works so well that it actully over dried my skin, so now i only use it for special occasions. Let me know if it works! P.s get the mint kind b/c for some reason the cherry kind does not work!

I have had success with Clinique also. I use the Lash Power Mascara, and the Quickliner for Eyes. I am a greasy eyelid + sensitive (teary) eyes, and this is the only stuff that has worked for me. The only cons: It does flake a bit if you touch your eyelashes frequently, and you have to work the soap and water a bit to get it off. I don't tend to wear eyeshadow unless I am going to an event.

I have the same problem! I've tried primers, waterproof mascara, smudge proof eyeliners, everything! The only thing that doesn't run on me is eyebrow powder. It seems to be a drier product - less oil. I use it as eyeliner. The one I use is Clinique's brow shaper.

I agree with dusting the eyelid with compact powder. This helps soak up the oil. Put the eye make up on over the powder.

I've read that dusting the eye lid with powder first helps.

I have oily eyelids but do not wear eye makeup. Years ago I asked my eye doctor if there was anything I could put on my eyelids because by the end of the day, the oil was getting in my eyes and burning them. She said to use warm compresses on my eyes for a couple minutes in the morning. The compresses have helped a lot. Mine are more hot than warm.

I also now use warm compresses on my face before I put on my moisturizer and foundation. My skin does not start to feel oily until late evening. Also I do not wash my face in the morning. I wash at night with Noxema with the moisturizer in it. Then in the morning use the warm compresses. My skin is so much better now.
