Desert West OBGYN has many offices and are great. I was reffered to them about 5 years ago absolutely love the whole staff. Never had any issues nor do any of the people I know who use them.
I'm new to the area and need a ob gyn. I'm located in the Southwest part of the Valley but I'm willing to drive pretty much anywhere. Also, which hospitals are the best in the area?
Thanks for the help!

I'm also new to the area and had to go see an OBGYN. I went to Dr. Goodman Partridge in Chandler on Dobson Rd and I would not recommend them. I will not be going to them again. They just seem to want your money and want you to come in for superfluous stuff.
L.- I moved here a year ago from Las Vegas while I was about 5 and a half months pregnant. I had a horrible Dr in Vegas ( they ended up going out of business because he didn't renew his license!), but when I moved here, I had a great Doctor! He uses Thunderbird Hospital, so be sure to think about hospitals when you look for your doctor. Good luck & Congratulations!!!

Hi L., I just wanted to second the suggestion to try Desert West OB/GYN. I've been going there since 2001 and they're awesome. They have a new office near banner Estrella hospital that might be close to you. I also noticed the suggestion for Dr. Chisholm and I think he would be wonderful too. He used to be with Desert West and was the on-call OB when I was in labor with my first child. Even though I had never met him previous to that, he was fantastic.
By "southwest" valley, I assume you mean Laveen/Avondale/Tolleson? Most of these recommendations are 30min plus. According to my step-mother, a nurse, you want to deliver (I assume that's what you're asking) at Good Sam or St. Joe's, based on the skills of those departments if not the amenities. (Scottsdale Shea has a reputation for being so nice for moms, but it's really geared for the doctors - your delivery room may be nice, but you spend 30 minutes in there. And it will be an hour from you.) There are a variety of Ob/GYN practices in central Phoenix clustered around the hospitals, most of which deliver at both. I work downtown, know at least 5 moms who have been to different practices, and all have been happy, although I don't have any names off the top of my head.

They are all great doctors. I personally see Dr. Spieker and LOVE her.
I delivered both of my kids and have also had gyn related surgeries at Banner Good Samaritan. It is a wonderful hospital and their OB staff and facilities are the best for any pregnancy. Their reputation is known world wide.
I LOVE my OB/GYN! Dr. Gregory Desanto at Camelback Women's Health (www.camelbackwomenshealth.com). He's very calm, but attentive. I only ever saw him for my prenatal visits and he gave me his pager number at 36 weeks, so I could contact him if I went into labor. The office staff is very nice also. He delivers out of Scottsdale Healthcare on Shea, which is a great hospital.
Good luck!
