I am asking questions on GroupHealth insurance here in the greater Seattle, WA area. I know that in network hospital are Virginia Mason and Everett clinic. (My husband put for alliant plus.) I am looking into a good family doctor/s and a pediatrician for my daugter Zoey. I am looking for a good dentist for my husband and I. Also a dental office that does well with children. My husband and I are in our mid to late twenties. I am 26 and my husband is 28. ZOey is 3 years of age. Also a good OBGYN. I would like a good cardiovascular doctor too. I know this sounds like a lot but I have only lived here a little over two years. I am nervous about doctors anymore because of my mom's heart disease that was misdiagnosed and the doctor that treated her screwed up and did not come for the truth upfront. I also know for a fact that heart conditions run in my family. If anyone could help me out please e-mail @ ____@____.com

My husband and I work for the same company in Kirkland, Wa. My husband was a direct hire and I was hired as a temp. after not working for over two years. I hope I am able to get hired permantly because it was hard to find a job here to begin with, especially being a former NAVY wife, after my husband received a honorable discharge.

I too live here in Lynnwood and know of a fabulous pediatrician with Ev. clinic. Her name is Lynette Wacholz she works at the Everett Clinic in Mukilteo, Harbor Pointe...very close to us! My little one is only 4 months, but we have had success with this Doc. so far. Good luck in your search!

I had a bay in december at providence everett and loved it there! My ob was dr. Laurent Nicolov and I miss him already! I wish I could have ten more kids just to keep going to him, he's really kids and funny and always put me at ease. The other doctors and arnps in his office at everett clinic were wonderful too. Their number is ###-###-####. We live in lynnwood too and their clinic is attached to providence everett hospital. We also go to dr.bissey (pediatrician) and dr. Smoluch at everett clinic in mill creek and they're great too.
Other than that I've had nothing but bad luck with group health insurance, so has my uncle and my mother in law. And I work in a chiropractic office and they don't cover that well at all. They are referred to as group wealth or group death by a lot of people for a reason! If you have other options next year I'd check into them, sometimes saving a little money isn't worth it when you need the coverage!
PS is Zoey going to preschool this year? We just enrolled at the edmonds cc coop for our three year old Amelia.
We take our DD to the Group Health Northshore Clinic in Bothell. Dr. Dunn is the pediatrician there and he is fantastic! Seriously, we really enjoy going to him and he takes a lot of time with us to answer our many questions during our appointments. We started going to him from the recommendation of one of the midwives I saw during my pregnancy because she takes her kids to him. I would highly recommend him. He's great at answering emails quickly and his nurse is good at getting back to you if you ever contact her.
Other than that, I saw the midwives in Redmond while I was pregnant and still go to them for my yearly appointments. If we do decide to have another child, I would definitely go back to them during the pregnancy.
Sorry I don't have any more recommendations. Good luck finding doctors! We've had no problems with Group Health since we have had them, in fact they exceeded my expectations!
If your plan allows Virginia Mason East, I HIGHLY recommend it. My kids and I have been patients there for over 15 years and I have absolutely NO complaint. We see a Physicians Assistant, June Betsch for most things - but, there's never a hesitation to be referred to a specialist of any kind. Virginia Mason is highly respectable and tends to be very proactive for healthcare. I've never waited in an office to see a doctor for more than a few minutes - in 15 years. They respect their patients. The clinic is the building just north of the hospital in Kirkland.
Pediatrician: www.mypediatricassociates.com (We see Dr. Tiffany Spanier, and I absolutely ADORE her!...I'm not sure if they accept Group Death insurance or not, though...so you'd have to find out).
Dentist: www.redmondkidsdentistry.com (My 3 year old has been going to her since he was a year old...she is absolutely the BEST pediatric dentist)
As for OB/GYN's...I didn't see Overlake as one of your options, so I couldn't help ya there, since we use Overlake for everything. HOWEVER, I wonder, since Overlake and Group Death are merging their hospitals/emergency rooms, if that will be an option for you in the near future. If so, I highly recommend Overlake OB/GYN Associates...and I see Dr. Lawler there. He delivered my son, and several of my friend's kids...and he's highly knowledgeable with hormonal disorders (like my PCOS).
If, at some point, you are able to get a different insurance plan than Group Death...I would highly recommend that, as well. I'm sure if you talk to enough people, you'll hear some of their horrid stories...and I have plenty of my own. I would definitely go to network doctors/hospitals over the actual Group Death physicians when at all possible.
