We want to start our 3 1/2 yr old in gymnastics because she actually asked us about it when she heard a girl at her pre-school talking about it. So now I want to enroll her right away but do not know where to go. Somebody said "go private" which is so expensive but I would rather spend a few extra dollars if it is a better experience for her. Any other gymnastic moms aout there in Arlington Heights area??? Thank you kindly!

Go park district. They usually have great programs for the younger kids and if she shows promise and you want to really have her train you can pay private club prices.

Our classes are in Hoffman Estates and we even have competitive teams. But that might be too far for you. Good Luck!

My daughter just started with the park district too and she loves her class. I believe the afternoon classes are easier to get into. Good luck!

We signed our son up for gymnastics through the Arl. Hts. Park District when he was 3.5. He has loved the program, and has participated in three consecutive sessions now. It is actually run jointly with the Rolling Meadows Park District, and the facility is in Rolling Meadows. They do a great job of exposing the kids to of the various equipment. The class size is about 15, but there are 3-4 teachers in the class at all times and after warm-ups they always break into 3 smaller groups of 4-5 kids each. I do know that the classes fill up very quickly (as in the same day that registration opens). I've always just been aware of the first registration date and made sure to log in that day and have never had a problem getting a spot. I don't know anything about any private facilities.

Hi - I do not have personal experience but I have a ton of friends that go to International Gymnastic in Mount Prospect for their children. Also, Oaklee's Family Guide is a great resourse for local business and things to do for Mom's! You should be able to find that at your local library!
