My son is 1 and needs a hair cut badly! I have given him 4 cuts at home so far but now that his hair is thicker I really am not doing a good job. He is very active and could never go to a salon. Maybe a home salon would work??

I have a 2 year old and have been getting his hair cut since 18 months. I tried taking him to one of those kid salons in westlake, BIG MISTAKE! He could have cared less about anything they had there, it was expensive, and the haircut was terrible! I started taking him to a barber around the corner and they do a great job with him. He did fuss the first time he went, but after a couple of times, he did great and plus I think they are used to kids acting up. The main thing I told the barber was that it was ok that he was fussing because I knew that he was not hurting and I think that help the barber out. Good Luck!
I'm not sure where you live but there is a great place for children's haircuts in strongsville - Cookie Cutters - it's on Pearl Road on the west side of the road in ... Echo Pearl Plaze I believe. They have a huge slide, the kids sit in cars, or on horses or fire engines, its really cool. They can watch a movie while they get their hair cut. It is the only place I could get my two year old to sit still.

I have an EXTREMELY active little man also. He started going to the barber shop with dad and amazingly he actually sat still long enough. Hair stylists know how to handle the young kids. Give him a try. Good Luck.
