Masks, rubber gloves, lysol, lysol spray, lysol wipes, get outside with fresh air and sunshine as much as possible, up the vitamin intake (especially C & D), confine them to one room or one area of the house, you to the other.
I'm 22 weeks and my son has been sick the last few days, vomiting and diarrhea. Luckily, he and my husband were out of town. They got home last night and my son is still vomiting and now my husband says he feels like he has the flu! I am trying to avoid them as much as possible, but I need to take care of them as well. Any pointers as to what I can do to NOT get the flu as well!
Masks, rubber gloves, lysol, lysol spray, lysol wipes, get outside with fresh air and sunshine as much as possible, up the vitamin intake (especially C & D), confine them to one room or one area of the house, you to the other.
Wash your hands all the time, especially after contact with them, lysol everything, and don't lick the doorknobs. :)
Take some vitamin C and herbal supplements to help you boost your immune system that are safe for pregnancy.
Make them wear masks or wear one yourself. Keep your hands away from your face.
Good luck!
First off - don't panic or stress...stress causes your body to go into hyper-drive and then will burn out fast....so seriously - do NOT stress.
IMO it's not the flu - it sounds like food poisoning or a virus. As the flu usually doesn't cause vomiting.
If he's vomiting - use gloves to clean up the mess - just as you NORMALLY would.
Use the Clorox disinfecting wipes on everything - toilet flush/handle, kitchen sink, banisters, hand rails, door knobs, bathroom sink faucets. If you don't have those - then use a bucket of HOT water with clorox and get to work. And yes - use gloves - those Playtex yellow gloves are the best!!!
If your son is still vomiting - ensure that he is getting watered down Gatorade so he doesn't get dehydrated...make sure your husband is getting plenty of fluids as well.
Take care of yourself. Get plenty of rest. If the house needs to be cleaned - leave it for a day or two - seriously - it's okay - homes don't need to be perfect every day! :)
oscillococcinum.
lots of vitamin C, and small (1 pill daily) doses of echinacea.
wash your hands a lot, drink plenty of water, and eat well.

Well first of all they don't hav the flu they have some type of virus. If you get sick just keep yourself well hydrated if you run a high fevernor can't keep any liquids down let your ob know they want you to go inane get some iv fluids happened to me with my oldest when I was 37 weeks pregnant.
Confine your son and hubby to one room (this helps a lot) Lysol spray and wipes will be your best friends use them after they've used the bathroom.
They don't have the flu, they have a virus. The flu does not cause vomiting and diarrhea. Virus's are very contagious. So, up your vitamin C intake to help your immune system. And wash your hands with soap and water often. Stay hydrated and eat healthy foods.
I highly recommend that you take a quality fish oil, like Carlson's and a vitamin D3 supplement. You can also supplement with cod liver oil, which takes care of both.

Can you sleep in another room? Or put your hubby on the couch.
Just try to stay away from direct contact as much as possible and tell them to stay out of common areas (use only one bathroom/don't use the kitchen sink). And don't worry, you'll be ok. And if you do get sick, call your OB/GYN right away just to be sure.
Lysol the hell out of your house, and quarantine them to one area. Seriously. My entire family had the H1N1 flu when I was 8 months preggers, and I ended up with it too!! Face masks aren't a bad idea either. Lots of hand washing, purell in every room, and get them to the doctor for meds immediately. Every day spray lysol on light switches, door handles, the phone, remote controls, etc... I'm a germophobe!! Hope everyone feels better soon :)
