So my husband did whites yesterday, he is a Chef and always has pens & ink in his pockets. Well needless to say he didn't remove them. There was no problem in the wash but when the clothes got to the dryer.... MY WHOLE DRYER IS FULL OF INK STAINS!!!! What do I do, how do I remove them??? Suggestions PLEASE :{

What can I do next?

Hi K.!
I've never had ink in the dryer, but I do know that plain old alcohol on a saturated paper towel removes ink on counter tops, table tops, walls, etc.. so I would think it would remove it frome the inside of the dyer walls. Try it, it won't hurt anything, and it might take a little scrubbing, let me know if that helped. If it doesn't work, I have heard that Goo-Gone will remove ink. I think you can buy it at Wal-Mart, you can buy ANYTHING at Wal-Mart! :o)But FIRST I would call the dryer manufacturer and ask what would be the safest to use because the dryer can make things catch on fire from the heat!! Let me know how it works and Good Luck!

K.,

Sad to say that I've done this before, I was washing my white nursing uniforms. Needless to say it stained just about everything that was in the load. Depending on the type of ink it may be removable. Otherwise, I never found a way to get it off the sides of the dryer, but it didnt' rub off on any other clothes.
Try the goo-gone, It might work, if not then at least you will have it on hand, its useful for a lot of things

Best of Luck
and God Bless,
S.

I have done the same thing, it wont come off the dryer, or at least I have not found a way yet, but I never had a problem with it coming off onto other clothes. Try soaking your clothes in oxyclean to get the ink out.

Try Mr Clean magic eraser. It got permanent marker off things as well as black boot dressing off ceramic tile & wood table.
