I had child care arranged but it has fallen through. I'm looking for an individual with experience and excellent references OR a home day care (preferably licensed) with a lower enrollment. Any ideas, references, and/or leads would br greatly appreciated!! Thanks, fellow moms!!!

Hi H.,

I am starting a brand new in-home daycare at my home in McKinney. This almost sounds like exactly what your looking for. I've worked for the past 11 years at my children's daycare in McKinney (Discovery Learning Center). I have a six week old baby and after having him, my husband and I realized that it would be more sensible for me to stay at home since I am needed so much. I also have a 9 year old and a 7 year old. They are both boys and play alot of sports, so our weeknights and weekends are cosumed by their schedules. My husband works nights, so it is pretty much left up to me to get them everywhere and back home again, but I can't complain because I love watching them play. Working outside of the home all day long just probably wasn't going to work anymore with a newborn as well. Even though that's what we decided to do, it wasn't going to make all of our bills go away so we decided I could keep one or two more kids in addition to mine and that would help out quite a bit. And, I still get to keep doing what I love to do with the benefit of being at home. As I said, I worked at their daycare for 11 years (since i graduated high school). It started out being temporary while I went to school, but after my first baby it seemed perfect to stay so I could work, but be near him as well. And that is still where
I was 11 years later. It was very hard to leave, everyone there is like family to me, but I knew it was best. I would be able to offer you several references from my former director and several of my past parents. You could just let me know how many you needed. I am in the process of getting listed with the state. There is a workshop that is required to take that is only available about once every three months. It is an all day long thing on a Saturday and I already have my application in for the next available class. But, I've done some research online, and I'm pretty sure I'm OK to keep one or two without a license while mine is pending. We just bought a home in McKinney in February of this year. It is located by 121 and Lake Forest. Its right down the road from an elementary school and its a very safe and peaceful neighborhood. I actually really want to keep infants so that they could be the same age and could grow up together. And plus, it is alot easier than trying to have several different age groups at once and give them all their deserved attention. Well I love children, and he will be loved and cared for well if this sounds like something you would be interested in. Feel free to give me a call whenever you'd like. My name is A. J. and my phone number is ###-###-####.
I look forward to hearing from you!

Thanks
A.

I was looking for childcare a couple of weeks ago, and found a great lady in McKinney.

Her name is Katie Jufiar and she is off of Virginia and Central Expwy. I went and met her, and my kids really liked her. I live in Plano, work in Richardson, so it was a little far for me to drive, so I didn't end up taking my kids there.

I called her references and she got glowing remarks. She just started watching kids out of her home so she could be at home with her 5 month old. She is a respitory therapist at Children's Medical Center on the Weekends.

Her number is ###-###-####.

I told her that I really liked her and if I found anyone needing childcare in her area, would refer them to her.

Her prices are really reasonable too. I hope that helps!

H.,
Hi! I have had horrible times with day care since we moved to this area. I like the idea of home day-care because with less kids the care-giver could love on my son just as I would. However, that has not been the case for me. It seems that this is just a money making plan for some people. I have decided to leave my job and keep my son at home with me. I have not really thought about watching other children until about a week ago. Mom's need a trusting place to keep their precious babies! I am a certified teacher who just wants what is best for my baby. I live just outside of McKinney in Anna, let me know if I can help you out.
