Help with Sweat Stains on Clothes

Hi Moms! My dad is in martial arts (black belt) and he has to wear a white uniform to class. He washes it very regularly but with the physical activity involved, yellow sweat stains have built up. He's tried quite a few things to get it out but nothings worked. Do any of you know of anything that will bring this out? Bleach is not an option.

Thanks Mommies!

I use oxiclean and it helps. The other thing I do is put vinegar in the fabric softener cup instead of fabric softener. Since he is sweating, you will want to run a second rinse cycle on the clothes occasionally.

PEROXIDE! WORKS GREAT!! Very inexpensive too!

There is also something called YELLOW OUT that is mad for the yellow around collars, but might work on sweat stains, too. I suppose the neck/collar stains are largely sweat stains, too.

My son has this problem. I put the detergent (Gain works good) right on the stain, let it set for 10-15 min; then put it in as hot of water I can for the material and let it agitate a bit and then turn off the washer and let it soak for 30 minutes. Usually works good, but if stain is old may take more than one try. If it is very old, it may not come out at all.

Biz. Follow the soaking directions on the side of the box. It got out 25-year-old stains from my husband's baby clothes! We don't use anything else anymore:)
