We recently moved into a house with Pergo flooring on the main floor. We have a nice big sectional - that I can not keep together for the life of me!!! It is constantly sliding apart becuase of the floor. HELP!!!!! What can I put under the legs of my couch to stop it from moving? I know there must be something, right??

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you ladies so much! I figured they had to have something like that - I just wasn't sure where to get them! And the tip for the carpets is great! I'll totally pick some of those up today also! Thanks again!

Home Depot & Menards have things you can put under the feet to keep them from sliding. I don't remember what thet are called but if you go there & ask them for "The rubber things to keep furniture from sliding on floors" they will get you to the right aisle. They are rubber, come in circles or squares, different sizes, white & brown. Make sure you get the ones for wood floors (There are some right by them that are for protecting carpeting) They saved my sanity. Good luck!

They sell little silcone 'coasters' to put under furniture to keep it from sliding on hardwood floors. You could also try the non-skid mats they sell to put under area rugs & cut it to the sizes you need.

Try buying thick shelf liner, cut it to the size of the feet and put it under them. If the feet on the sofa don't show, make the piece bigger than the feet. It should work

Hi S.!

We have laminate floors too and it's so hard to get any traction on them. Try getting one of those things you put under the rug so that it won't move (can't think of the right name right now) and cutting it down to the side of the furniture legs and attaching it to the bottom. That should help with your problem.

Good luck!

Hi--there are rubber "rounds" they sell at Menards which give traction, and are designed to be the size of your furniture base. Don't get the hard plastic ones, as they slide on Pergo, too! Good luck!
