Discounters like Target don't carry this size. I have to look for 6 slim and never have luck at discounters when it comes to any extended sizing. Some brands to check out that include varied waists are: Lands' End, Children's Place, Gymboree, Crazy 8 and Old Navy. With Lands' End, look at their overstocks section online because you can often find good deals there. They also offer good discount codes if you get on their Facebook and e-mail lists.

You know several years ago, I was told by the Children's Place that my daughter needed their husky size clothes. Turns out, there were limitations in their size clothes. To this date, she's never worn husky. I just began shopping for regular sizes at other stores like Macy's, Carson Pierie Scott.

Also, I find that Baby Gap normal size runs very wide and they also have XL sizes too I think.

I would try Kmart...I think I have seen them in size 8 there...they might have size 6 too!
