My Toddler Has Sweaty feet....Are Crocs Worth the Money?

Ok, here's my question. With another summer approaching I'm hoping to avoid the "foot peeling" we had last summer. My son has extremly sweaty feet. The bottoms peel off all summer long. Last year the Dr. said to get him leather insoled sandals or Crocs. My Doctor recomended Crocs due to the material they are made out of (vs the generic ones) He has nice leather sandals but he needs everyday play in the dirt sandals. So I guess my question is are Crocs really worth the $40? (I looked the price up online for the the pair I like). They...

Need Help Finding a Flattering Swimsuit

Today I took the kids to the swimming pool. Several of the moms there had similar swimsuits that were very flattering. They appeared to be either 1 piece suits or tankinis with a very long top. Some had kindof a shirred/gathered look. I think this kind of suit would work well for me to help conceal my little belly pooch. I found a similar suit on Victorias Secret . com but it is $125, more than I would want to spend. I HATE shopping, so if anyone knows where I might find a suit similar to this, could you let me know? That way I just drive...

I Need a Great and Durable Backpack for Nursing School

I am starting nursing school in the fall and I'm looking for a durable backpack. I've looked at Target, Walmart and Staples and have seen adult backpacks from $30-$120. I'd like to stay under $100 and I want to make sure that when I buy one that is semi-expensive that it will last for a couple of years. Has anyone bought a nice backpack recently that they really like and found to be durable and comfortable as far as the material, straps, zippers, etc. Also, many of the more expensive ones that I'm seeing are "laptop" backpacks with...

Logistics of Cloth Diapering on the Go?

OK, since we seem to be on this topic, I'm curious about how those that use cloth diapers handle it on-the-go. One of the reasons I've never used cloth diapers is because we are ALWAYS on the go. My older son is in preschool, and I am active in our local MOMS Club, so between pick ups/drop offs, activities, and every-day errands, we are usually gone every day until pm naptime. This means lots of diaper changes in restrooms, people's houses, or sometimes the car or stroller. The thought of having enough bulky diapers with me, not to mention...

Lands End Swimwear

I am very excited about buying a cute swimming costume from Lands End. I need your advice if you have any experience with their swimwear. I am curvy with a big bust, and size 12-14. I would really like to buy a cute swim mini or bottoms with a little ruffly skirt. How do these look on not-so-skinny (ie larger ladies like me), and can you recommend a swimwear tankini top from Lands End that is good for big boobs? I like to swim for exercise so I was also thinking about the one-piece Grecian swimsuit. Please let me know what you think. ...

Winter Boots for Boy W/extra Wide Feet!

My 4-1/2 yr. old son wears a size 2XW shoe. He needs winter boots. Last year I spent a lot of money on Lands End boots, which were very nice, but he didn't really get a lot of wear out of them. Anyone know of a roomy brand that is closer to $30-$40 a pair?

Seeking Softest Toddler Boy Underwear for Sensitive Skin

I've bought lots of different kinds and there always seems to be something about each one which irritates my toddler's sensitive skin. It's usually found in the seems. I've removed the tags and all the stitches associated with the tags. He still will have accidents so we can't go "commando" yet but may have to go that route. ..

High Quality Hooded Bath Towels

My nephew is turning 1 and I want to get him one of those hooded bath towels with an animal head on the hood. I looked at Target and Toys R Us online, but the customer reviews said that the towels were really poor quality. I want something that is going to last him years. eBay has a few vendors, but I was hoping to get a recommendation from someone who bought a hooded towel and had it hold up for the long haul. Thanks, S.

Packing for Sleep Away Camp

What are your favorite tricks and tips for packing for your child to go to sleep away camp? My Mom used to write and mail me a letter before I even left for camp so when I arrived I got mail on the first day that I was there, made the other campers kind of jealous, but made me feel really special. I pack all socks and underwear in separate ziplock bags to help keep track of them, and anything that could possibly spill also gets its own ziplock. Everything, I mean everything, is labeled. I put stationary inside addressed and stamped...
