I went to Target today and noticed that Hylands teething tablets were back on the shelf from being recalled. Has anyone used them yet and if so do they work as well as they did before they recalled?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I bought some and we will see how well they work. I don't like using Tylenol or Ibuprofen those knock her out for a while. The Humphrey's didn't do anything for her when she got any of her 6 teeth. Thank you everyone for your advice.

Sorry, but Riley J is totally wrong. Hylands has never contained euphorics, hallucinogens, or paralytic agents. They're HOMEOPATHIC medicine, for goodness sake. Homeopathy works with a person's internal systems by providing microscopic quantities of substances that provoke a response. Teething tablets have numbing agents... but no euphorics or hallucinogins.

Do people just write random things because they think they'll never get called on it?

Hylands also has a liquid for teething. It comes in a small tube. My daughter is using this with her daughter and it seems to help as well as the tablets and is easier to use. I wasn't aware the tablets had been recalled. That explains why we couldn't find them.

I didn't know they were back either, but I did use a different brand, can't remember the name and they worked really well, so I'd bet that any one you use will probably be effective. I also wasn't aware that Hylands started making a liquid, that might be the best b/c I always had to dissolve them in water first anyway, b/c my kids were too little to keep them under their tongue!

i always liked humphrey's for anything teething wise...
but how the hell does it make you stoned? ...there's nothing in there that would...? my dh had tried them before and nothing... unless you are overly sensitive to everything...

I did not use them before the recall, as my son was just starting to teeth during the recall, but we use it now. We had tried many different teething relievers, but have found that the hylands brand works the best.

I used them but they were not recalled at the time.
I liked them and thought they worked well when the baby was little before the really big teething came into play.
Then I switched to infant Tylenol (infant Motrin for the molars)

JUST DO try them on yourself first. If it's the same formula, it will make you high as a kite and drooling if you take the appropriate dose for your weight (the old formula included euphorics, hallucinogenics, and paralytic agents). Make sure you have babysitting, because I'm dead serious. High as a freakin' kite. No wonder they 'worked'! Stoned little babies and toddlers.
