Hylands Teething Tablets (homeopathic) work wonders!! sell them anywhere. They help with pain and soother their bodies. You can also use it in addition to the generic tylenol/motrin. Only the name brand was recalled. Cold rags always help too but ya just have to bite through the process, we all did as well

Try freezing a damp washcloth and letting her chew on that. The scratchy plus the cold helps sometimes. If that doesn't work, try a warm washcloth, some babies who don't like cold will like the heat. My son also liked to chew on a wooden spoon. But he liked to chew on my finger the best. When it was really bad I would rub his gums and let him chew on those if I could stand it.

S., I don't understand. Are you saying that you cannot buy more Motrin and/or Tylenol? It's been years since they've been recalled unless something different is happening in your area. When something is recalled you can return them to the store and either get your money back or get a replacement if there has been a new production. You really do need a baby pain reliever at your house.

I read your other post about ear infections. Are you sure she doesn't have an ear infection?

Are you holding her or letting her cuddle with you in bed? Singing to her, humming, consoling her in some way? Have you tried a cold wet wash cloth on which she can suck? Have you given her something firm but safe for her to chew on? Have you tried rubbing her gums? Rub the Oral Gel into her gums and then keep rubbing them for awhile. Rub, stop, rub.

Try to relax and accept that she's in pain but this too will pass. She's OK if she's screaming because of cutting teeth. She may still be screaming instead of just fussing because you're trying so hard to help her you're tense, anxious and upset. She senses that and feels that more is wrong than just the pain. If her screaming is causing you to become upset to the point of wanting to just make her stop, put her in her crib and leave far enough away that you won't hear her. She will get tired and fall asleep.

This is difficult but you can do it. You're responsible only for trying ways to help her. If they don't work, you've still done your best.

When my grandkids were cutting teeth or having difficulty and were crying as a result and I was tired, I'd take them to bed with me after putting on some soft, soothing music. I would cuddle with them and both of us would soon fall asleep.

Get generic Ibuprofen (a.k.a. Motrin) and Acetomenophin (Tylenol). These were not affected in the recall and can be found on store shelves. The active ingredients are the same and they work just as well....just may taste different. Good luck!

The generic forms of the medications weren't recalled, so check a store brand such as WalGreen's, Rite Aid, WalMart, etc. If you have used one of the analgesics in the past and it worked, definitely go get a generic and give her what worked before.

You can buy store brand (generic) tylenol and ibuprofen, they haven't been recalled. Only those brand names have been recalled. Hope you can get some, and hope it helps!!

of course, use ibuprofen or acetametaphine. (Again, as mentioned before - the generics have the exact chemical makeup as the name brand drugs, and they weren't recalled).

Also, I have to go with some other suggestions to use the homeopathic teething tablets. I've gotten them at Walgreens. They work sooooo well.

I hope it goes okay.

For my daughter, I bought a bag of ice from Sonic (its crushed, small pieces). That and the Hylands teetheing tablets. Both helped tremdously. One of her 1st words was ICE! I'd put a little in a small bowl and she'd chew on the ice. Good luck!
