Help! I'm stuck in the 80's and I need a regular spectacular hair stylist in the Lake Stevens or Everett area. I keep myself at the bottom of the list and just go to great clips or wherever whenever I have time. I'm going bac kto work soon and I need a new hair style and I'm looking for a regular person who is friendly and wants my business. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

Jessica at Studio 51 in Marysville ###-###-####, worth the drive and tell her you heard about her from a friend of Elisha Dukleth! My friend gets her hair done there and always looks great, very up to date. I just asked her recently when we moved to lynnwood and that's where I'm going next time.

Brandi at Step n Style in Snohomish is awesome. It is really close to Lake Stevens(I live in Lake Stevens) She is very helpful in determining what will and will not work for your hair type and will teach you how to style it too. I have gone to her for years. She is super fun and energetic and very very friendly. Also Dawn and A. in the salon are great too.
Good luck.

My stylist is in Mount Vernon, which may be way out there for you, I drive 50 minutes to see her. Her name is Heather Lindsey and her salon is called "Envy" salon for hair. She is great and I have thin hair and have always been afraid of someone butchering my hair. Sometimes I have ideas for what I want and she helps me adapt them to my hair, and sometimes I just tell her to do something new, it always turns out great. She's also real nice and a mom too and stylish too :) The number is ###-###-#### and their website is www.envysalonforhair.com I just thought I'd throw that out there.

I live in the Lake Stevens area as well, and don't know of any stylists. I go to Downtown Seattle to get my hair done. I know alot of my other Mommy friends have gone to Gene Juarez Salons at Northgate or Bellevue. There is a new one at Alderwood Mall. Most if not all of Gene Juarez stylists are hired through his academy. I haven't seen one bad haircut come out of his salon.
I personally go to Bocz Salon in Downtown Seattle. Gary Bocz is my Uncle, so he does my hair. You can check out thier website at boczsalon.com They have all of the bio's of their stylists.

Good for you for starting to put yourself first, or at least second. This is something that I've been working on this year as well.

A great salon is Elle Marie Hair Studio. It has a Bothell address but it is just south of Mill Creek on Bothell-Everett Highway. The owner, Lorry Green, cuts my hair and she is GREAT!! She has children and works and "gets it" - you know, we don't all have one hour to spend on our hair but we still want it to look good! Here is their phone number and URL: ###-###-#### www.ElleMarieHairStudio.com
p.s. another bonus - the chairs at the shampoo bowls are massage chairs - what a treat!!!

Hi L. and other LS moms!
I found Heather Leckner, a SAHM through the Snohomishmommies yahoo group. She used to work in Seattle and is really really good! She now stays at home and cuts hair in her converted garage/salon. The beautiful part is that you can bring the kids with you to play with her 2 and 4 year old boys! It's called The Hair Farm because she lives on acreage off Machias.

So you are probably going to get lots of replies but I thought I would give it a shot too. I go to a woman named Kerri McRae, she works at Salon Veloce next to the Lynnwood convention center. I have searched high and low for a reasonably priced hairstylist who can do stylish cuts and colors and she is the one. I even have friends that are stylists and I go to her over them. I used to pay about $200 a haircut and color, she charges $65 for color and around $30 for cut. I know she is a bit of a drive for you but give her a try! Good luck
