Hi I am new to Renton. I am trying to find a hair stylist that does great color and hip haircuts and not super expensive.

It depends on what part of Renton you're in, but if you're closer to downtown it might be worth the trip to Mount Baker (near Seward Park in So. Seattle). Shannon Pham at "Changes for Hair" is my stylist and is great with both cuts and color AND VERY reasonable. Her number is ###-###-####. I've been going to her for years and wouldn't switch if you paid me.

D....go to Salon Tii Gavo. Ask for Megan. The number ###-###-####. Actually everyone there does great foils but Megan is my favorite. Although I guess I need your definintely of expensive. Probably they're on the higher end but worth every penny.

gene juarez has a beauty school that you can get a discount at, it just takes at least double the time it would in their salons. I really liked my hair when I got them to do highlights. I know they have a school in federal way, not sure if they are any where else.
I am also new to Renton and looking for the same thing! I can't really tell you where to go, just where NOT to go... Salon on 4th!!! It is overpriced (I paid $160 for partial foil and trim... on short hair!) and the owner gives pretty boring cuts. I had a great Victoria Beckham-type cut that she couldn't (or didn't... I am still not sure which) follow and instead gave me a very boring, rounded bob that is a little too "mom" for me.

I used to get my hair done at a salon and then found out my hairstylist does hair out of her home as well. It is a lot cheaper and she is awesome. She is in Auburn/Federal Way, right off I-5. I can give you her number.
