I use Limewire to download songs and add onto my Ipod.
Techno is a good genre for working out. Especially with aerobics!
I just got an I-pod for my birthday and want to put some up-beat songs that would be good for walking or jogging. I can't seem to think of anything good. I want something different than the normal stuff that I hear on the radio all day long. Thanks..

I love my Gomez (see the world is a great song) Matisyahu (the entire first album is awesome) Old Crowe Medicine Show is great (Wagon Wheel is my favorite) They Might Be Giants is fun and upbeat, good to sing along with. Any Bob Marley too, of course. Pod Casts are also nice when walking, I like NPR wait, wait, don't tell me (political humor quiz show) Fresh Air, and BBC news. I am a huge LOST fan, so I get the unofficial and official Podcast, they are free and update automatically.
Ok, there are a lot of good upbeat songs that I can think of..try DHT listen to your heart, ( techno remix) it is not, hard beats. Then the new song, I like where we are ...here...I think it is called close to me. ( perfect for working out) then...there are other options, songs you love just try to find a techno version! :)
Sway with me is an excellent one as well, if you would like anymore, I have TONS on my computer, let me know and I can even send them to you.
A..
I know this is a weird suggestion but look up the band nuttin but stringz its a strange combo of hip hop and classical but it works. they have one song called Thunder thats awesome combines a good drum beat with violins.
I have several silly mixes of upbeat songs, and I created them by thinking about songs I liked when I was young, songs I remember from my childhood, etc. Lots of disco and motown and that sort of thing. Abba. (Teehee)You might do the same thing, and also, don't rule out "world" music or Latin dance music.
I have a lot of Madonna on my iPod (they remind me of my youth and they have good beats). Also, Aerosmith, INXS, Alanis Morissette, Christina Aguilera, Prince, old-school Michael Jackson (think Thriller), Janet Jackson, Culture Club, and lots of Disco. If you need more specific songs, email me and I will send you some names.
Brittany Murphy's cover of Boogie Wonderland that she did for Happy Feet! It has such a dance worthy rhythm and it gets you mamboing on your treadmill or w/e! :D
yeah i would say club, or house music.
Google it and see what comes up
