Hello everyone. I just moved to summerville at the end of august. I need to a ped. for my kids and gyn for me. I am really picky when it comes to my kids. I really would love to find a doctor that will talk to me and really let me know what going and one who will take me seriously with my concerns. As far as a doctor for me I don't care whether the doc is male or female just someone who is close and I don't have to wait a year for my yearly. Any help or suggestions would be a great help. THANKS!!

What can I do next?

Hi, I have 3 boys ages 11, 7 and 19 m. I use Summerville Pediatrics for my kids. If you ask someone where Summerville Trident Hospital is then it's located right across the street on Midland Parkway. I use to see Dr. McCall but he's gotten to be very busy so I now see Melissa Hollifield and she is extremely nice. She has a son that is 2 or 3 as well.. I can't remember. I live in Moncks Corner and it's not a convenient drive but I feel it's worth it, they always see me when I call!
As for my OB/GYN I have used Dr.Day & Stroud's office located by the Charleston Trident Hospital (that is where half of Charleston's Dr. are located) It's called Trident Ob/Gyn and I see Joyce Ball MD or Dr. Stroud because I prefer a female. I have heard good things about Lowcountry Women's Specialist as well but they have a lot of Dr. in one practice and I am not sure of one that stands out at the moment. They have a Summerville office but I'm not sure where. I hope this gives you a good start. Have a blessed day, T.
Feel free to email me direct if you have any more questions.

Palmetto Ped. are great they are over by Trident hospital and their number is ###-###-####. My next door neighbor gave me their information and she is a nurse at another doctor's office. You get to pick and Dr. Leonardi is really good.

Good Luck

Sweetgrass Pediatrics is the best! It's on 78/University just past Trident beside the Zaxby's. We found it through a friend of a friend of a friend when my 3 year old was newborn and have never left! I wouldn't take my kids anywhere else...the nurses are wonderful with the kids and Dr. Boylston is the best! She talks to me like another mom (with a little more knowledge) rather than a know-it-all, "you-don't-know-what-you're-doing" doctor(and believe me they exist!). I wish you well finding someone good!

I second the recommendation for Sweetgrass Pediatrics... my daughter has gone there since birth. It's a fantastic office (right off the 205 exit on I26) the doctors are wonderful, and the location is great. It's clean and bright... and you'll always know you're getting great care for your kids there! They seperate the check in areas for sick and well kids, you can tell healthy kids are their #1 priority. :) All the doctors are great! Dr. Lopez is pretty new and she's a sweetheart. My daughter loved her at her last visit - and since she's newer she's usually a little easier to get in with right away.

Good luck! I hope you find the perfect doctor for your kids!
