We live in West Ashley - We love our Dr. - It would be a hike for you to come here, but if you are interested, the practice is called Plantation Pediatrics - we see Dr. Todd Vasko, but they are all wonderful (I think there are 5 total).
We are new to the Summerville area, and the pediatrician that I have been seeing really needs to be replaced. I have been there a handful of times, seen both doctors, and the Nurse Practitioners, and I still feel uncomfortable there. I feel like there are "pushing me out" and not willing to take the time to care. Their answers sound rehearsed, and they don't remember us. (we were in 2 times in 4 days, and nothing!) I understand that doctors are busy, and they see ALOT of kids, but a little concern would be nice.
I am not stuck on going to a Pediatrician, I had a family doctor where we came from, and really liked it. If you want to send names to me privately, that would be fine too.
Thank you for your referrals.
We are now seeing Dr Clifford at Coastal Pediatrics. WE LOVE THEM!!!

Hi K.,
I was new to the area not that long ago. I found Dr. Koniver and I am so thankful that I did! He is absoluty wonderful!!! His website is www.primary-plus.com. He is very personal and gets to know you. Its even better when Mom and the kids can see the same doc. He is in N. Charleston but its a short drive from Summerville and well worth it! Check it out:)
I live in Summerville too, but I drive to W. Ashley to Plantation Pediatrics because I love our doctor there so much. All of the drs are great, but ours is Dr. Traynham--he is patient, understanding, and really cares for my daughter. A couple of my friends from S'ville go to them too.
Our twins go to Sweetgrass Pediatrics in North Charleston (down a little from Charleston Southern college). We are always happy with Dr. Lopez there. There are four other doctors, though and we have only seen 2 others. They were very thorough, I thought. Good luck!
I take my 2 yr old to summerville pediatrics Dr mark mccall. They came highly recommended to me by several people and my daughter has been going there since she was 3 months old. They have great staff, nursing etc.. Also I called in the middle of the night with concerns and they are very helpful and help make you feel at ease with what ever you maybe experiencing with your child. Dr McCall spends quality time in caring for your child and also follow-up visits and having his staff follow-up with phone calls to your home on checking on your child. I think you will be very pleased with them - they also have workin appts. and I have even been able to bring her in there office and end of the day and they stay until all patients are seen and cared for - no turning away or making you feel rushed.
they are off trolley rd. on midland parkway (opposite side of the rd from sville medical center.)
You will be pleased and very glad you made the change to this practice as I have been and Im greatful of the several referrals I had gotten. *The other impressing thing I like is they have a well area and a sick area seperate.*
Summerville Pediatrics -- Dr. Mark McCall et al.
We go to Sweetgrass Pediatrics near Trident Hospital and have been very happy with them. We have seen all the doctors and they are all very nice. Have never had to wait very long in the waiting room. My only complaint is that they don't have a separate waiting room for sick kids.
