We have a beautiful new home, and got beautiful, expensive new carpet when we moved in. And I had the brilliant idea of adopting a little Chihuahua/mix mutt that was found pregnant, wandering the streets. Well, she peed ALL over. We had no idea how much until we broke out the black light. Ugh, I wish we hadn't done that. Anyway, I need an AWESOME professional to come in. And I need recos! We've doused it with nature's miracle, used planet urine, used a steam cleaner and the spots STILL SMELL. I need help! I'm worried she's still sneaking little piddles on the spots and making it worse, so we just need to start fresh. TIA moms!
We've used Coit. Definitely not the cheapest, but they do great work- and will come back if it's not done right the first time (which I've never had happen). good luck!

Don't let her go anywhere in the house where there is any carpet.
Urine smell can be hard to get out.
If it's soaked into the carpet pad and/or wood beneath the carpet you're going to be smelling it every time that part of the carpet gets damp/wet.
You probably need to really dry it out very well.
I was told in puppy class to use a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water. Saturate then blot it up. Then if necessary, work in baking soda and put hydrogen peroxide over baking soda. It will fizz like crazy. Then blot again. And let dry. My mistake in past was putting the stuff on but not blotting it up enough. The vinegar makes them not want to go there again. For a professional, we used Chem Dry. They have his stuff called purt that they use. They can also pull up carpet and get into padding. Good luck. My cat destroyed my carpet. The vinegar hydrogen peroxide seems to be helping until I can afford a carpet cleaner.

I have had dogged and catted carpets! I used Nature's Miracle, which is great for most cases, but one room just became too much. As a last resort, I called Ambassador Chem-Dry (if they won't come that far north, ask for a recommendation). The fellow came out and used a lot of the special pet cleaner (quite expensive, but not as expensive as new carpeting). When he was done, the carpet was very wet - more so than usual. He advised me to keep the perpetrator out of the room until the carpet and pad were completely dry, and maybe a little longer. I'm thankful that it worked. It might not have.
I commend you for adopting the poor dog and taking your chances, though.
The thing is.... her scent is in the pad as well.
When we moved to TX, we purchased a used home to use until we figured out exactly where we wanted to be.
The sellers had installed new carpet, BUT... the scent of the urine is all the way through to the slab. Our dog had never had accidents but suddenly he did have accidents (marking) in the 1 area we found where the seller's dog used the bathroom the most.
We ripped out the new carpet and used a lot of clorox the concrete slab before putting new carpet back in to the house. We didn't have issues after that.
Since then, we've built 2 homes and we have 3 dogs. We had 1 issue with the toy poodle using a specific area and we ripped the carpet out of that area (a hallway), used Clorox on the slab and then had Travertine tile put in. No more issues.
I'm sorry but I can't help with a cleaner because we've used all the professionals around here as well as use our Bissell Pro Heat regularly. Urine stains are a pain to get rid of because the scent lingers and it is in the pad.

All get affected/stained/stinky... from puddles of urine or any liquid that seeps into carpet.
Hence the smell is retained.
And hopefully there is no mold growing under there now too. Since it has been moist from pee etc.

In college I took a textiles class (for interior design). There we were taught that only dry clean methods are acceptable for cpt. because water based cleaning methods remove the factory stain resistant finish. Will a dry clean method (like coit), take out dog urine? I really don't know. What I do know is that a water based cleaning will make your carpets susceptible to staining.
I have also experience this in real life. My mother could not figure out why the area the the dog peed turned dark over time. I realize later that where she used water, those areas attracted dirt as the stain resistant finish had been removed. Since you have already used water in your carpet, Id try to add on a stain resistant finish in those areas. It won't be as good as the factory one, but better than nothing. As for getting rid of the urine all together, I don't have any advice. best of luck.
