Does this happen to anyone else? lol I just sold our double stroller that we've had for 4 years b/c my 3 y/o is a "big girl" now and she doesn't want to ride in it with my 22 mo old anymore, and I almost cried as the lady drove away , last week I sold our pub dining set that we had for 4 years and bought a new prettier one with the money, and again I was heartbroken when they took it. Does this happen to anyone else, or should I see my phsychiatrist? lol j/p :)

What can I do next?

You know what happened when I sold all the baby stuff? I got pregnant the next spring.
I still miss my first Graco stroller, it was much better made than the newer one I had to get.

It's called a "mommy moment"...

I had it when I got rid of my baby stuff.

The WORST mommy moment? Was when I went out and had a DRINK with my daughter!! YIKES!!! Now, my boys are only 12 and 9 and I'm fretting that one. My oldest got to drink a root beer from a bottle on Sunday and I almost flipped out!!

No need to see a shrink!! It's letting stuff go....means our babies are growing up!!

I cried when I sold my $7,000 (and thats what I paid for it) toyota corolla and my husband bought me a $40,000 brand spankin shiny new car. Bawled like a baby. But for the rest of it, i love to clear out the things we don't use anymore. Love it. Those were clearly sentimental items for you.

No but I tend to hang on to stuff to the point where I want to throw it out the front door so.....

Oh, yes. You're mourning the passage of time that now makes the double stroller unnecessary. But you know you're thankful that your children are growing up happy and healthy, and you can be glad that the stroller is going to be used with love by another family (who may also cry when it is no longer needed!).

i have that trouble too. At least you push through the emotions and sell it. I have some stuff I'm still sitting on. waiting for the right time.

I am a minimalist. If I don't absolutely need it right that minute, I get rid of it.

That being said, we moved to a larger home, but it has an open floor plan and less walls. We had to get rid of some big furniture items....and my daughter's Pottery Barn rug. It was a logical decision, but I had to walk away and not watch the woman and my husband put it in her car.

I'm usually not attached to inanimate objects, but there were a few things that tugged at my heart. I place the items on Craig's list and my husband helps load them. I never meet the people or watch the stuff leave.

LOL...glad to hear someone else is like me! I tried to have a garage sale with my 2yrs baby stuff w my neighbor (best friend) and as we were setting it up we both had so many stories and memories. This guy came and wanted the whole box of blankets so I said $5 (thinking they were for his grand kids) he said pefect these will make great shop towels...and I LOST IT! My neighbor was like I will go get them back if you want but my hubby said they are better being used then folded up taking up space. :(
