Beautiful, but no experience with her. I was laid off when I was pregnant so I was trying to be practical. My daughter's room was beautiful, but everytime I see a round crib I regret not getting one for her back then.
What do yall think of round cribs?
You guys are so wonderful here...I cant thank you enough for all the information. I especially like the cospeeper idea and think that is what is what we will do fo a while!!!! You guys are so wonderful!!!!

Honestly, for me, it was just too expensive compared to the other regular cribs with more bells and whistles I can get for the same price. So even though I thought they were pretty, I just stopped looking at them. To me, they also look nicer in the middle of a room with lots of space. I preferred having my daughter's crib in a corner of the room. She hated sleeping in the crib anyway so I'm glad I didn't spend too much on a crib.
I can only say that both of my kids liked finding a corner to nuzzle up in when they slept and a round crib wouldn't allow for that. Plus I would think it would be harder to have a room layout with furniture with a round crib.
Just my two cents!

I loved the idea of round cribs - however, what I found was the lack of sheets for round cribs.
I also too measurements and if you have a smaller nursery - the depth of the round one takes up more room than the traditional rectangle crib.
After all of this - we chose the traditional crib.
Hope this helps!~
They are beautiful (I wanted one too), but I am glad I went with a sleigh bed instead, because my daughter used it as a toddler bed afterwards and she slept in it until she was just shy of four, and only because we had a new baby come along. I am not sure the circle crib extends longer than just infant - when your little toddler is ready for a bed, it may end up only lasting a year or two.
Co-sleepers are MUCH better!! You can check them out at www.armsreach.com
Good luck, S.
I thought they were cute, until I realized how expensive the sheets, ect were since they're not common. Also, I wanted a gender neutral bedding set, since I plan on having more than one, and I didn't find anything I really like (though this was 4yrs ago). If the money is no problem, they are cute, just be aware, I had a friend who was petite to say it nicely and she couldn't reach the baby if he rolled into the middle of the crib, so if you go to see one, you might want to check that.
I think they might be difficult to fit comfortably in a square room unless the room is large enough for it and other furniture, changing table, rocking chair, dresser, etc. Also, wouldn't it be hard to find linens / bedding for it?
to be honest
if you have money to throw away go with a round crib, they are nice but the are not that practical.
i would look at the cribs to grow. here is my reason.
my son was in "taking a nap" and the next thing i hear was a loud thud and then him crying. now his matress was already down as low as it could go.
i was horrified at this and knew it would just happen a gain so with in five minutes my husband had transformed his crib to a todlers bed. I didnt even have to go out and buy any parts as it all came in the kit. i did how ever have to buy the full size bed rails for when he goes into a full size bed.
my point is if i didnt have this crib to grow set up i would have had to go out and buy a todler bed and spend money that i wasnt realy ready to spend. also this kid now has this bed until he leaves home and yes teeth marks and all. that just adds to the posteriety.
just my opinion.
plus how easy is it to find the matress and crib sheets for a round crib.
