Any unique ideas? We had the twins' 5th birthday party at the horse stable (Cowboy & Cowgirl) in Will County. They want to have their OWN 6th birthday party. My twin son want it at bowling.....need ideas for my daughter! The twins' birthday is Sept 30th. Keep bringing some fabulous ideas!

It can be anywhere Oswego, Naperville, Bolingbrook, Yorkville, Joliet, Minooka, or around South of Plainfield.

Thanks!
D.

So What Happened?

The Plan has been changed--my twin daughter want to have a "Vintage Barbie Glam" so I am happy to say we are going to have the party at our home. I love love love doing home parties because they both have been to MANY birthday parties outside of our house at vendors. Thus, my twin son will have his birthday party at a bowling place. We were wondering which place to have it at ? Brunswick ? Plainfield Pioneer ? or AMF ? I know they price per child is arond $12.95 to $13.95 depending on the package. He will have about 15 boys from all of his play dates since they were 1 yr old. The advantage I have is that their birthday FALL when school begins so this year we won't know any kids in their classroom. I am sure we will be getting invitations through the school year. I can't wait to meet and greet their friends and the Moms too!

is she girly-girly? What about a dress-up party? Everybody comes in costume. Activities could be nail jobs, hair styling, etc. If you do goody bags, wow....lots of possibilities!

Another idea: a cupcake party. Let the girls help make cupcakes. Make a huge batch....borrowing pans from friends/family. Let each girl decorate theirs.....& they each get to take home 6 - in a pretty little box that they get to decorate, too. & that's where the "wow" comes in....while they take turns baking/frosting ......the others are decorating their boxes & playing games. Games can include "Pin the cherry on the cupcake", "hot cakes" (like Hot Potato), "Cupcake Walk" (like a cake walk, only the ultimate prize is a giant cupcake to take home)....lots of variations for games!

With all of this, I would corral adult help!

My daughter turned 5 and we had her party at Bolignbrook park district (gymnastics) and we had a Barbie themed party and found a perfect "Barbie". Everyone (including the husbands) were in awe as how great Barbie looked in her long pink dress and her long blond hair. She is a school teacher by day and was awesome with the kids.

My daughter even asked where Ken was and Barbie replied "at home watching TV." She was great!!! When I asked my daughter what the best part of her birthday was, she said hanging out with Barbie.

So, if you are interested, please shoot me an email and I can send you a picture of her and my daugher and then give you her phone number so you can contact her about availability and price.

My older daughter's favorite party was a surprise party.... for her friends!

The moms and dads knew, of course, but the kids didn't. We drove to each house and rang the doorbell and when they answered we sprayed them with silly string and yelled "surprise!!" and took them to the party -- which was bowling and pizza.

Six might be a little young for that. I think my daughter was 8 or 9 when we did it.

My daughter recently went to a party at Petland in Naperville. They got to hold lots of puppies and kittens and then they got to make their own stuffed animal like "Build a Bear." I thought it was pretty unique.

My daughter had a tea party at the house for her last birthday and it was fun. We ate on real china and all the girls dressed up.

Will this be in the winter? My friend has a December child and she always comes up with the BEST parties in the dead of winter--indoor swimming, bumper cars on ice, snow zone tubing, etc.
