I am looking for information on Internet Parental Control software, programs, and/or downloads. How do they work? How much do they cost? Which ones are good? etc... Any information and advice will be much appreciated. Thanks!

I use something called WebWatcher. It is $99 but so well worth it. It lets me block sites and monitor exactly what they do on the PC. I love this. I am not sure what exactly you are looking for. I hope this helps.

I've heard good things about bsafeonline. You can check it out on bsafeonline.com . I think it is about $50 per year. It has a lot of options.

Therese,

Check with your internet provider. We use AT&T and they have parental controls as part of thier package.

I have also set up the computer in the past using windows parental controls that comes as part of the operating system.

We also have At&t and they have awesome parental controls! I have both of my children ages 9 and 14 blocked from things I dont want them to use. Of course the 14 year old can go to different sites then what the 9 year old can go to. You can also set it up who they get mail from. And who is on this yahoo messenger list. I would greatly consider them. Good Luck.

We have AOL which has parental controls already built in. Under the kids screen names you can set their age group which gives access to websites for them, like Nick Jr for 5-8 year olds. If they try to access any other website they get the message that they have to have parental approval and I get an email about what site it was. It also blocks them from trying to go through internet explorer. I can also block emails from addresses I have not pre-designated and block IM's. People complain that AOL is high but it comes with so much more than any other server.
