I've read several of your responses...and I wasn't going to give my own, but after mulling it around, I decided i would.
1st off, you seem to get a lot of advice about doing it natural..did anyone read your question in the 1st place??
Everyone has their own ways of losing weight, some basic and some with pills of some sort...
I say use the Alli and use it correctly..all it is really is just a tool to help you cut out excess fat in your diet by some minor side effects.
I will advise you to cut out the iceburg lettuce salads...it's mostly water..use fresh spinach instead...more nutrition and better for ya too. You will feel less bloated and even more energetic.
Alli is a great tool to help learn to redirect your eating habits and eventually you won't be wanting fatty foods. Be sure though NOT to cut "all" fat out, you need some for nutrition.
Good luck on your weightloss journey!!
There is some great advice on the board and there are all kinds of ways to lose weight and inches. I personally use Jen Fe and have been successful. If you would like more information, feel free to check out my website at www.nexagenusa.com/fatlossgirl... In two months I have lost over 10 inches in the 4 places I measure but only 10.6 pounds. Everyone will lose at their own pace but I have found this to be successful for me. Good luck and God Bless

Pills are never the answer!! It is best to first do a detox diet for 1 week. Which is a fresh organic (as much as possible to avoid chemicals & pesticides)vegetarian diet of all the brown rice (they now make brown rice pastas), ezekial bread, quinoa, vegetables, beans/lentils,greens & fruit. WATER. At every meal make sure you have a good fat like nuts, olive oil, avocado. You can eat as much as you want & no calorie counting. Avoid dairy, high fructose corn syrup, sodas (diet & regular), msg. This can be tough to do but with a little planning & label reading. I did this for 1 week & remained on it for 5 yrs. I then added such things as organic soy ice cream, & pamela's cookies for deserts. I also have to add that I used to do the salad & chicken thing, & it is poor food combining. The reason is that meat can take 3-4 days to digest, & salad starts to digest the minute you start to chew it. So, if you eat meat followed by salad, the meat will cause the salad to ferment because it basically gets stuck behind the meat. All fruits & vegetables have their own enzymes & start to break down almost immediately. Google: Food combining & www.notmilk.com
A great supplement is Essential Woman by barleans, probiotic (Primadopholis) and a whole food vitamin (no centrum, oneaday, FD&C colors, gelatin, or dl-tocopherol get the d-tocopherol. I hope this helps. I hope this helps. C

I've been taking Alli for a month.5 and have lost 15 lbs. But i have many many more to go. I think your body might still be adjusting but when you weigh in you should show a loss. Are you meeting your allotted calorie and fat grams? Also watch your sodium intake, too much will cause you to retain water and make you feel more bloated. Also is it corresponding to your monthly cycle? If you haven't already you should visit and sign up with myalli.com. They have people (docs, nutritionists, etc) on there to answer these questions. Hope this helps and good luck on the weight loss!
I feel like I want to say that there is no majic pill. I have read that Alli gives you the "poops". Why would you want that? What have we all learned, or not learned from past diet pill failures? Remember that little pill called phen phen? Do you really want to look up one day and realize that you have major medical problems from a pill that hasnt been on the market long enough the see the horrible side effects?
I say, do what you want, take what you want...you are an American, its your perogitive.
Choosing to eat right and exercise is a hard thing to commit to. I understand more than anyone.
Please be careful with your health
Doctors and so-called medical professionals are PAID to endorse this "pill"...heck, even Wynona jumped on the band wagon....she hasnt been thin in 20 years...you will soon see that she wont be doing any commercials anytime soon...she will still be overweight.
I say this, not to offend you...just to open your eyes...I hope you achieve your results and are happy and healhty,
Margaret :)
Hi A.! I have been taking Alli and it does work but only if you watch your calories and only consume the amount given to you according to your weight and height. You have to keep track of your calorie intake. Also be active in working out because this will only increase your weight loss while getting healthy at the same time. Bread and chips are starches so try to limit your intake on those.
I know there is a lot of negative feedback concerning Alli and it does have side affects but that is only when you don't eat right. You can't expect a pill to make you lose weight while you keep your same eating habits (eating fatty foods). In fact, fear of getting the side effects has helped me to ensure I eat healthy. The pamplet specifies to eat a low fat diet and work out in order for the pill to be effective.
Hang in there and keep up the good work!!!! Good luck.

Hi there, I took ALLI forabout 2 months and I don't think I lost much weight. ofcourse, I wasn't exercising like I should or seriously cutting my calorie intake down. BUT, I have started drinking organic, raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar for the past 2 months and I have lost about 12 lbs. I use the Bragg brand found at health food stores and HEB. I drink 2 tblesp with water 3 times a day before each meal. I have been eating less during the day and excerising a little more than I use to but I truly think the Apple Cider Vinegar has helped me. it doesn't work magic overnight, but on average I am losing 1-2 lbs a week! I tried everything for the past year to lose my pregnancy weight and now I am finally losing it! This is my meal plan in case you're wondering: Morning: 2 cups coffee with equal and creamer, a banana; mid morning I have a mozz. string cheese, lunch yogurt w/ granola and triscuit crackers with a wedge of the laughing cow cheese, afternoon if I'm really hungry I have another string cheese. I drink only water during the day and ofcourse the glass of water w/ apple cider vinegar before each meal. For dinner I make normal non diet foods but I always add in a vegetable like broccoli or carrots steamed as a side to whatever I'm cooking and I never get seconds. Easy enough and this works for me. Hope this helps you!Oh and on the weekends, I'm not very strict-I have a normal breakfast w/ my family and just make sure I don't go crazy if we do eat out-portion control is key. Also, on the weekends I will go jogging or bike riding, anything...just to get myself out of the house and moving!
When I first started working with my trainer, I put on 5 lbs IMMEDIATELY! I was changing my diet, excercising 3-5 days/wk doing all the right things. 3 months later, I've only lost 2 lbs from where I started, but I've lost over 25 inches overall!! At this point, my clothes are fitting better and some are even getting baggy.
Not to be discouraging, but I agree with the other poster- there is no magic pill for weight loss. It is a whole lifestyle change. It is NOT easy, but for me it comes down to teaching my son healthy habits and being able to live my life fully with him.
For me it wasn't so much about losing the weight (although that was a concern), but more about becoming more healthy. I had a LOT of medical/hormonal issues that were affected by and contributing to my weight issues. These other factors are the reason why any type of diet plan says to see a healthcare professional before beginning. By getting the hormonal issues straightened out, my skin is clearing up, I actually have color in my cheeks naturally which I don't ever remember having, AND the weight is just melting off. And above all else, I am able to play with my 4yo. I run with him- this is HUGE for me b/c I had knee problems, then shattered my leg. I haven't been able to run in more than 15 yrs (I'm only 28!!). I can now climb with him and ride bikes... all those great things I've wished I could do, but had to sit back & watch my hubby do with him.
Also, like another poster said, it's not healthy to lose too much weight too quickly. It causes a lot of heart problems, all sorts of bad stuff. The safe area is to lose between 1-2 lbs a week- 3 tops.
Sorry for rambling on & on... I've been doing a lot of research and checking out all sorts of different things since really getting going on this journey in Sept or Oct 08. I've also seen so many positive results in my life other than the way I look, so I am very excited about this! Best of luck to you in your own journey!
I have had friends who tried Alli and they stopped after a while. There are terrible side effects and the number one problem is what one of the people responded to in her message. They also said it will ruin your under garments and was just horrible. Please read the other response where she is taking it but she also mentions are you taking in the proper calories etc. It really all boils down to watching what you eat and getting some form of exercise at least 3 days a week. I did do the high protein, low carb diet and will admit I lost so much weight so fast that the doctor made me go back to eating 1/2 cups of rice or potatoes but of course who can eat just a 1/2 cups. I basically ate meat, fish, chicken cooked any way I wanted it along with a salad, certain vegetables but no bread, desserts, potatoes, rice, and pasta. It wasn't hard to do and I love a good steak and salad but it was a little difficult when you went out to eat as you had to cut half of the meal in order to stick to the diet. I lost 3 dress sizes in 3 months but again I lost to much to quickly which I was happy with but my doctor was not. My husband did the Sugar Buster's diet after he bought the book and lost 55 lbs. It is very much like the high protein, low carb but a little more lenient. It was bascially don't eat anything white. So it really gets back to watching what you eat, eat healthy and get that exercise in. To me the diet was the easy part as I just couldn't find the time for the exercise so I bought myself a stationary bike, put it in my bedroom facing the TV and before I went to bed I would get in some exercise and still be able to catch up on the news. Good luck to you.
