Like the other poster said, the JC meals can be about $100/wk but that doesn't include the price of membership. You must be an active member of Jenny Craig to have the "privilege" of buying JC food. Not just anyone can buy JC food. So naturally, the memberships are pricey. You can get in on a promotion of $30 for 30 lbs or something like that...whatever promotion they have going on now...but if you have more to lose than 20-30 lbs...you'll need to buy a membership (hundreds of dollars..can't remember the price..there are different levels of membership).
The food is good but it didn't teach me how to eat in the real world, like WW did. I didn't learn how to cook for myself in a healthy way...or portion sizes. It was basically eating their food for a while...I lost the weight but it came back when I went off of JC because I never learned the right way to cook/portion sizes. etc.
You'll definitely lose weight on the program if you stick to their food only. And they discourage you from eating other foods (because they can't sell you more of theirs).....so I always felt so guilty if I had a family gathering or a dinner party that I was invited to. They encouraged me to eat my JC meal before going and just eat fruit/veggies at the party -- rather than teaching me/letting me face the temptations of the real world and learn how to eat the right foods.
Every week, you sit down with a counselor and you go over what's going on in the upcoming week...and then you go over what foods you want to buy for the next week...they always push buying 3 meals for all 7 days. I hated that most of these "counseling sessions" were really about food sales.
