Joovy Ergo Caboose Vs. Zooper Tango (Double Stroller Advice)

Hi I need some double stroller advice. My son will be 2 1/2 when the new baby comes, but he is a bit small for his age. I'm not sure if a sit and stand would be better than a side by side. I've kind of narrowed it down to two choices. Is anyone familiar with either the Joovy Ergo Caboose or the Zooper Tango? They both appear to be Chicco carseat compatible (which is another issue I have). I've also looked at the Bumbleride Indie Twin, but not sure if I want to spend that much.

So What Happened?

Thanks for the input. I may check out the Baby Jogger City Mini. It looks like they are coming out with a Chicco compatible carseat attachment in the next month or so.

I like my Joovy - quite a bit - it has one of the biggest weight limitations and that's why we got it. My daughter is now five,my son is 12months and we walk as often as we can. She stands up most often and sometimes will sit - and the seat has a seat belt so she can stay in securely - though we don't use it.

It is long when it collapses so if we didn't have a little station wagon and only our compact it wouldn't fit in the car.

My one concern with it is the level of comfort once you are no longer using your car seat. It could conform more to the child to help with sleeping stroller walks.

Oh - AND - needs more cargo space too - so I invested in a mommy hook for the bars. I will carry 3 or four bags of groceries home sometimes - so - more cargo space or at least better cargo space would have been nice

The other thing that I really liked about the Joovy was the color choice. We walk some busy streets and having the bright red makes us super noticeable. Good luck.

I have a Joovy Caboose. It looks like they have made some pretty cool upgrades since last year too. Like possibly making it shorter and have a bigger more accessible basket.
The only complaint about mine and not sure if this is on the new one is it does take up a lot of room in the car. It's not really a problem for me, but might be if you have a sedan or small trunk space. One other thing is when the seat is reclined all the way for the infant carrier, it is hard for the toddler to sit up straight in the back.
These are not deal breakers in my opinion, just something to think about.
We primarily use this stroller for the mall. It is not good for traveling or outdoor.
I also have a combi twin, which is great for traveling and sleeping. The joovy is not a good napping stroller. The only place the side by sides is not great for is mall shopping. Something I did with one child, but rarely ever with 2. You can still get around, just not thru the racks as easy.
Honestly, if you are looking for a good all in one stroller, I would look at the city mini double. When I had my 2nd I really liked that one, but it did not have the car seat attachment then. It does now. I know it is pricy, but probably not much more than the 2 you have looked at.
Good luck.

My girls are 23 months apart, and I went through the same debate with the Joovy or double. I ended up going with the Peg side by side, which turned out to be a huge waste of money because my toddler no longer was content in the stroller. So a few months later I bought the Joovy Ultralite Caboose. I LOVE this stoller. It fits our needs perfectly. It is even lighter then my single Graco. Just make sure that you get the Ultralite model - it's worth the extra money! Good Luck!

I know you are asking about 2 specific strollers, but wondering if you've considered the Baby Trend Sit and Stand Plus. It works as a sit and stand or a double stroller, and the baby seat can fit in either seat - not sure if it's Chicco Compatible though.

I have the older version of this stroller and love it!

M.,

I have the Graco Duo Glide and LOVE it. Its not side by side - I think side by side strollers are VERY difficult to use - going through doors, aisles, sidewalks, etc. Check out the Duo Glider! It fits my baby's carseat just fine. Has a storage compartment and cup holder at handles, which is a straight bar. Good storage underneath, too.
