Just for Fun - If You Had Triplets What Would You Name Them?

What are your opinions on baby names for multiples? (not necessarily triplets).
Are cutsie names for all best? or rhyming??

I have always thought that Aimee and Allie are adorable for twin girls.
And that Kennedy, Kenzie, and Keyairrah, would be cute for triplet girls.

Again its just for fun

What can I do next?

Actually, I'm not a big fan of naming multiples "similar" names....just me.

If I had triplets I would be in the nut house so Troy would have to name them. :p

And Troy would probably steal Theresa's names. :)

I have to agree with the Mamas who wouldn't go for the cutesie names that sound similar. I would just have 3 babies with 3 individual names. I would actually probably go so far as to make sure that they all had a different letter.

I'm not knocking anyone who does this, but it's not my personal style. My friend has 3 kids (different ages) and they are all J names. Another friend has 2 kids (different ages) and they are both C names. I think it gets too confusing. My son starts with an S, so in the unlikely event I should have another all S names are off the table!

ADDED: I completely agree with TJ. "Changing names too much just looks like you don't know how to spell"
I know someone who named her daughter Renee, but spelled it Rena. (Reh NAY). Uh... that would be Re Nuh. If I were her daughter I'd be wanting to legally change the spelling when I got older. Torture correcting anyone who pronounced it the way the English language intended. Look at other words, Alask(Ah) not Alask(ay).

I would give them names that had nothing to do with the others. No rhyming, no similarities, cuteness, etc. I think multiples are viewed as package deals so much of their life by others, I would want their names to be unique and an identity for them. Just what I would do. I see the appeal of all the other options, as well!!

first thing that popped into my head was larry, curly and mo

Im not sure what I would name them.. I could probablly get away with the names I liked and my husband didn't since he would be in shock and by the time the shock wore off it would be too late and they would be named already ;)

My twins are Michael and Christian. Nothing special. We both have names that start with M, so we thought about trying for both M names, but we couldn't find two that we liked.

If the names sound good together, I think it's okay, but parents need to remember that these names are for life. I have a friend with twins Jillian and Jonathan (Jack & Jill). I think that's cute. Another friend named her twins Luke and Leia. Not cool! Those poor kiddos were named after a movie, and I'm sure it will haunt them later in life.

I like the rhyming trend. I think its cute. I have a twin sister and we rhyme. My name is H. and her name is haley. But everyone has always called us "the twins" anyhow!

I would make sure to give each child his or her own unique name and would definitely NOT give them a name starting with the same letter. Each child is his or her own unique person and should have a name that reflects his or her self/soul. I have LOTS of cute names I love, but my husband is a stickler for old-fashioned names. So naming multiple babies would be a pretty involved effort in our household!

I have thought about triple dogs, but not triple kids! I only have one child of my own (17 years old)....but do home daycare. At 5:30 they all leave but the one. If she didn't do it, one of the cats did!

But when we did have a dog, we had a Newfoundland (think big black shaggy drooling thing...like a mini black bear..big like a St.Bernard). I always said I would love to get 3 brothers next time. All bear names. Smokey Bear (the responsible leader), Teddy Bear (the loveable sweet one) and Yogi Bear (the mischievious troublemaker). Of course I would hope they live up to those names!!

I would not do matching names either. In fact I was careful not to give my daughters names that started with the same letter even! I think kids have their own personalities and differences and that should be celebrated. Two of my best friends are twins and they are sooo glad that names are. Wry different from each other's. The other caution is to give one a common name and another a "unique" one. Talk about torture!

Not sure where you got keyairrah from but I'd stick to a more traditional spelling if you ever use it, that spelling reminds me of a bad bowel function and would be a nightmare to spell. Maybe Kiara? And this is coming from a T.. Not a big fan of my unique name still, but would dislike it even more if my parents had tried to spel it phonetically. Changing names too much just looks like you don't know how to spell, just my unique-named opinion :)

I live in the multiple birth capitol of the country (literally) so there are lots of twins and triplets here. All the sets that I can think of all have their own names that are not a pattern or a set. That's what I would do too. The twins I was a surrogate for have lovely traditional names that happen to be the names of a set of their grandparents. Coincidentally, they are also the same names as my grandmother's twin brother and sister. Weird, eh?

Well, they would probably be referred to as "Frick, Frack and Joe!" seeing that I refere to my two dogs and only son that way when they are all up to no good! However in reality hearing my mother go thru all three of our names growing up sisters, not trips but all K's Karena, Katherine, K. and her fumbles and calling the wrong ones I would shy away from matchy and same letters personally so, S is off limits for first names.

I would probably do a Mathew Joel, James Bearretine (nick name Bear), David Scott assuming boys - Elizabeth Kay, Charlotte Marie, Anne Margret assuming girls. But that is with out imput from my hunny so who is to say that would be finals?

Well Im somewhat imbarassed to admit that when I was in 5th or 6th grade I made it very clear to all my friends that when I grew up I WAS going to have 3 sets of twins! There was no doubt, no debating, and no thought to whoever fathered these children. I was certain. I had names for them all. Charles and Charlotte, Donald and Donna, Martin and Marlo. How funny what we think when we are young and dont have a clue. As it turned out, I had a boy and girl, 6 years apart and didnt name either of them any of these names! I do however have several friends with twins. So the list of names is a wide variety, Bill/Mike, Carolyn/Janice, Hannah/Anne, Laura/Debra, Julie/Jennifer, and others I cant even think of now.

I had a mom that had a baby at 16. The week she graduated from high school she came to me and told me she had had a nightmare.

She had had triplets instead of her single baby. She said their names were Haylee, Baylee, and Kaylee.
