My name is J., my husband is Jay (goes by his middle, Travis), my 13 year old is Justin, and we have 2 labs, Jessie, and Jake. Girl names? Boy names? Looking for middle name as well...last name is Patterson, so needs to sound right with that as well :-)
I'm due Oct 26th with my 2nd...my son will be 13 and I'll be days from 40!
Boy - Jaden Michael, Jace Connor, Jase Hayden, Jacob Zachary, Jonathan Daniel, Joshua Brayden, Jordan Marshall,Joseph Ashton, James Tyler, James Ayden, James Declan, Jared Michael
We decided on Jayden Alexis - she is due 10/27.....thanks for all the suggestions!

I have a Jackson-and I love the spelling Jaxon. Also have friends with a son named Jax. If you have a girl and use Ashton(my husband's name) as a middle name, I've seen people spell it Ashtyn. I like the choices you've come up with now it's just about narrowing them down.

Hi J.! I love J names and all my boys have one! You've listed 1 of them: Joshua, my other boys are Jason and Josiah (jo-si-uh). He's almost 20 and he has always loved his name. We've never called him Joe (which I'm not fond of anyway) although he went through a period with friends where he allowed them to call him Joe, but that only lasted a few years and everyone calls him Josiah. It is the "same" name as Joshua in meaning, one is Greek and one is Hebrew, which both boys (men!) think is pretty cool as well. When I was pregnant with Josiah, I had picked out Jerusha for a girl...Billy Graham has a granddaughter with that name and I thought it was beautiful.

All 3 of my kids have the same initials JKC. My son is Josiah Keith and my 2 girls are Jetton Kree (pronounced Ja-tawn, also spelled Jatone) and the baby girl is Jasper Kaycee. The kids are always getting compliments on their names. And none of the 3 shorted their name. Actually Josiah does not like it when people call him Joe or Sy. We also thought of Jayton for a boy or girl. We use to get out the US atlas and checked towns that started with J as well.I also work with a guy and his daughters name is Jorah. Hope this gives you some ideas! Let us know what you end up choosing! Good luck!

I say Jamie Patterson. It's unisex. You can select two middles name you like that are more gender oriented. I thought it was cool when Jamie Foxx (the actor/comedian) said that he chose that name because women were getting called up for an amature stand up night at a comedy club more than men - or something along those lines. I like Jamie Ray for a boy and Jamie Renee for a girl. (Of the ones you have listed I like Jared Marshall Patterson for a boy.) Good Luck!

You have had so many responses, and I read through a few, so I maybe duplicating some. Since your husband's name is Jay, you could very easily use that and add to it as well. When I was pregnant with my son, we had names picked out for boy or girl. My husband's father's name was Jay, and he passed away when my husband was fifteen years old. There was no question that his first born would be named after his father boy or girl.
The name we picked out for a boy, I have heard used as a girls name also.
The boy name was Jayden Lee.
The girl name was Jayna Lynn.
Both names had the "Jay" in them, but they still had their own identity.

Congrats on the new baby. I think you guys have already hit the ground running with great names. My vote would be on just a new combination of what you already have come up with, like Jadin Elizabeth or Jessica Alese and for a boy James Ashton, James Avery, Joseph Avery, Jaden Cole, or even Joseph Tyler. Whatever the baby's name, enjoy the blessing.

Hi J.!
I like using part of you or your husband's names in the baby name:
like for a girl:
Jaylee Grace
I like Jayna or Jaylen/Jaylin too. (The Jay part from your husband)
You could also do Jenna since your name is J..
And I have a friend named Jerica (her family does all J's too!)
(and I love Kate and Grace as middle names...)
For a boy:
Jensen (actually this is cute for a boy or a girl. I knew a guy named Jensen in high school who grew up to be an actor, on tons of tv shows... he was so cute. you can't not be cool and handsome with a name like jensen! :-) then, also, i have a friend who named her baby girl jensen... too cute.)
Jackson or Jack
Jayce (spelled with your husband's name)
Jayden
and old fashioned names like Joshua, Jacob and Jonathan
Jordan's cute for a boy too... boy or girl.
You have so much choices!!!

We have a lot of J's in our family as well. We have James William, James Rapheal, Johnathan Edeward, and Jalyn Patrick. Hope this helps.
You've gotten so many responses! My only suggestions are to pay attention to what the 3 initials spell out (you don't want it to be something the kids could be teased about) and to name them something that is fairly easy to pronounce and spell. It's very frustrating for kids when they have to correct teachers/others about how their name is pronounced or spelled for the rest of their lives.
Good Luck!

Hi J.,
My sons name is Trevor James. I also like the name Jarett. You already have some names that I like. Not sure if this really helps.

My daughter has a friends at her school named Jalissa, or Jelissa (like Melissa). She is sweet so I thought it was a cute name. Good luck :)

Jordan Brooke Patterson really stood out for me! I have a Jason Dean and we call him Jase (he is a junior and I didn't want to confuse him with daddy;-)
