We have a moms group called GEMS at Valley View United Methodist Church at 95th and Antioch I would love for you to come and meet everyone. let me know if you would be interested.

There is a Johnson County Kids Day Out & SAHM club that you can join. They have playdates pretty much every day of the week you can pick & choose to attend. They also have coffee shop meets (with a playroom for the kiddos) and girls night out events. Go to Meetup.com and search JOCO Kids Day Out & SAHM. It's $5 a year to join to help pay for the website. You'll definitely meet lots of people & have fun!

We are getting ready to move to Overland Park next week!
I have some established friends out here in Gardner but i won't see them on a regular basis! I would love to meet you, love shopping, love coffee, and would like to start scrapbooking. As far as playdates my kids are 10 and 6 but my 6 year old loves playing with younger kids and loves babys!
I will also tell you I don't know where you moved from but there is a program call Parents as Teachers that is a program through the school district that offers support until your child is 3 and with that you can attend playgroups with other kids and parents! Another great way to meet other moms! Are you Shawnee Mission or Blue Valley school district?

I was starting to worry about the same thing as I will know nobody up there and would love to meet some new friends! I won't be working right away as we will just be settling in but when I do work it is just part time during the day and I would have evenings and weekends off!!! Do you like to take walks? Looking for that as well some walking friends!

Hello Nicole! My kids are 6 and 8, so not really the right match for playdates. But, if you haven't already done so, I would suggest looking into a Mom's Club. I was a member for several years and loved that someone else planned 1-2 events a week, if I wanted to participate with my kids. Our club also had "ladies nights out" and also smaller playgroups within the larger group. If you need more information, let me know.

I stay at home with my kids and the way I get a lot of my "girl time" is through my direct sales business with At Home America.
