Totally fun idea! I'd make sure there are places for parents to sit nearby to help with eating and keeping them from fighting, LOL. This would be extra cute for photos! :o)

I've done this before and it worked out great. We only had little girls so I bought foam purses at the dollar store. They also had foam stickers and foam sticker letrters. Most girls decided to put their names on them, either with glitter glue or the stickers. The girls had a blast!

I think thats a fine idea. A "twist" on the idea, if you dont want the little kids to have access to all their goodies without an adult being right there, etc. is to have some numbered bags set aside somewhere out of reach, then on the table place some sort of trinket with a number written on at each place setting. Then once its time to give the children their goodies have them tell you the number on their trinket and give them a goody bag with their number on it. We did this at my sons 1st b-day party. It was rubber-ducky themed and we used my son's water table to float plastic ducks in. Each duck had a number that matched a goody bag with the same number. We had the kids stand in a line and do a little "duck dance" before they picked out a duck. The older kids caught on to the fact that each bag contained the same goodies, but it was fun never-the-less.

it sounds like a cute idea to me. Is it a child's birthday party or an adults?

GREAT IDEA! We did this for my last baby shower. We had an entire table set up for little ones ages 7 and under! It kept the kids TOTALLY happy the entire 2 hours!! Worked out great. What i did was bought some of those foam sticker pieces - a huge bucket for boys (things like animals and bugs) and a huge bucket for girls (things like princess and dress up) - then I bought a package of large foam sheets, almost the like the size of paper. They had a blast making "pictures" out of these foam stickers! I also had some color wonder books and markers on the table for them - it was a total hit! Hope this helps!

I think it is a great idea. Kids love to have things just for them, so often things are off limits to them and this would be a nice way for them to turn the tables on adults. Hope you do it and hope the kids have a blast!
