Kids Karate Lessons in Northeast Denver?

We used to go to Elite Martial Arts in Brighton. It is off of 27th Ave (Buckley will turn into 27th Ave right after Bromely Ln.)(or at least they were last time we went there in May) They are not "Karate", they are more Taekwondo. Last year my daughter was 6 and she loved it. The only reason we are not there anymore is because we had to move far away, but if we ever get a chance to move back that is the one place I will re-enroll her. I believe we paid around $95/mo. They have different schedules so the monthly fee isn't always the same. My daughter went on Tues and Thurs evenings (only 1/2 hour long) and some Saturdays, only because Saturdays are the "free for all" days. Anyways, good luck in finding a place for your son!

We go to Red Mist Society in Denver (www.redmistsociety.com). It's still pretty far for you, but the program is fantastic. Kids lesson is Sat. morning from 10-12, fees are super low ($30 per month for 2hrs every Sat, you won't beat it), intructors are all masters and like family. All three of my kids go there. My son (11) has been there since 1st grade and is a blue belt and my daughters (7 and 6) started last May. They just recently got their yellow belt and are so proud of all their hard work. It's good you want to enroll your kids in Karate - it's really good for them on so many levels from learning self defense to self-discipline.

My 5 year old son has been in Karate for about two years now. He goes to classes at a Johnson Recreation Center in Northeast Denver off of I-25 & Brighton. I didn't let him test for almost a year because he was so small but he is doing pretty good now and is is now getting ready to test to become an orange belt. The instructor is really good. He gets on the kids to pay attention and not play around when doing drills but he also has fun with the kids during certain drills so he has a good balance going. He also would allow your sonto just sit in on a few classes before you or your son make the decesion that he wants to be in the class. My husband teaches Karate at the Montbello Rec Center on Tuesdays and Thursday nights at 6pm. The cost is very reasonable. Sensei Jorge has over 20 year experience and has competed internationally inlcuding the Pan-Am Games.

Just would like to know if your husband is still teaching at the Montbello Rec Center. I have a 11 yr. old daughter who may be interested. And I also live in the area.

We do Tae Kwon Do through the city of Aurora at Beck Recreation center, it is very affordable and they do a good job. It is in the Leisure for Life catalogue.

Paragon Martial Arts is Taekwondo, and they have a location in Stapleton. Excellent instructors! Their website is www.paragonmartialarts.com . I would recommend them very highly. We only stopped going because they closed the location nearest to us.
