Has anyone used the Costco Diapers under the name Kirkland? They're cheaper, but cheaper's not always better. Do they leak? Is there no difference than name brands?

Thanks in advance!

So What Happened?

Thank you so much! I was overwhelmed with the responses! I guess when we're going to Costco tonight we'll try it! We've been using the wipes, and do like the packages, which are great to throw in the diaper bag for faces and hands too! Some nights our son leaks, sometimes he doesn't, just depends on how much he drinks in the evening before. I will check the cost tonight...anyway of saving money is great!!....

Update #2...My husband went to Costco last night and they didn't have the size our son needed!!! We had to buy Huggies.....maybe next time...

I have used the Kirkland Diapers and think they are just as good as the others in terms of leaks. The only complaint is that while Luvs has a baby powder scent, the Kirkland do not and my son's diapers smell worse. Not a big deal - I just change him faster!

Hi, my friend used to work at Costco and told us the Kirkland diapers are actually Huggies but under the Kirkland brand.

We didnt like them, they felt wet on the outside when the diapers were full, and we did find that they leaked.

No but we have used the Sams Club brand called "Parents Choice". They are awesome. We have 2 year old twins and have used them since the beginning. No problems at all and they are SO much cheaper.

Hi D.,

We use the kirkland diapers for our 8 lbs daughter and I have had no problems w/ leaks, their wipes though are pretty harsh on her tush, so we use those for spit up more than anything else.

We have used the diapers and the wipes. The diapers are fine. No noticeable difference, but we have a girl. Don't know if it's different for boys. The wipes are great. They are almost like fabric.

Good luck,

M.

i loved the kirkland diapers for my daughter. i felt they worked just as well as pampers or huggies. i wish they made them in smaller sizes for newborns, but that is my only complaint

Hi
I tried them once when my son was less than 1 year old - somewhere between May '04 - May '05 and found they did leak quite a bit. I'm a Costco customer and love just about everything from there, but didn't care for the Kirkland diapers. They may have improved them since I tried them, but I went back to the Huggies (?, I think) that Costco also sold.

The little boy I watch is 16 months old and wears Kirkland and I have never had an issue with leakage. They seem well made and have a thick middle area to absorb. I once bought my son Target brand and the Kirkland diapers are MUCH better then those.

I have several children in my daycare that use this brand and I've never had a problem with leakage, and I really love their diaper wipes too.

We use them & LOVE them. I was about to mention that they are the same as Huggies (but, I was using Christy's info...and I see she already responded, Hi Christy!!)

I like the Kirkland's wipes, too! You don't have to use them as "refills" since they have their own plastic lid built in to each package.

Yes! I use Kirkland daipers on my toddler. I started at size 3. He's in 4's now, so we've been using them for a while. They work perfectly well during the daytime. (Nighttime I use Huggies Overnights). I also really like Pampers Cruisers, but I buy Kirland because they're perfectly sufficient, seem comfortable & I'm a Costco shopper.

Yes! I've been using them on my son for two years. They are great! Huggies actually makes them for costco - I have a friend who works for costco corporate. (Another good costco tip, Grey Goose makes the Kirkland vodka)

We use them and I'm totally happy with them. In fact, Luvz always leaked at night with my kids, and sometimes huggies too. My kids sleep for like 12-14 hours a night, so I need something that really holds up. I have never had a problem with Kirkland diapers, which I think might be cheaper than Target brand too (which are also amazing).

I recently bought kirkland diapers for my 2 year old son and had no problems at all with them. Since he was born I only used Pampers swaddlers/cruisers and i was pleasantly surprised with the Kirkland diapers. Just be sure to check the price per unit when ourchasing because I discovered that the Huggies at Costco were actually cheaper per unit price. Good Luck

I am not really loyal to any particular brand of diapers. To me, they pretty much all work the same, so I just buy what ever is cheaper or what I have coupons for. I have used the Costco Kirkland diapers and I do like them. They are indentical in shape and design to Huggies. The only difference in my opinion, is the print on the outside. If you like Huggies you will like the Costco brand.

A little about me:

I have a 2 year old son who is going to be my only child. I am self-employed and work from home. I am an adoption professional and I do both domestic and international adoptions. My husband works full time. I feel so fortunate and blessed that I am able to have the best of both worlds. I can be a stay-at-home mother to our son as well as work part-time around his schedule. Our son, whom I had biologically, is the joy of my life! Since I will never be able to have more children due to my past history with ovarian cancer, I completely enjoy him to the fullest, and I realize how fragile and short life is.

My husband works for Kimberly Clark (they make Huggies, Kotex, Scott, etc.). They make the Kirkland Signature diapers and they are run on the same machines as the regular Huggies diapers. They are basically the same thing, only cheaper according to him. VERY little difference between those and Huggies Ultratrim. In fact, we only used Huggies until Kimberly Clark started making Kirkland's diapers. My husband is VERY loyal to KC, and feels fine supporting them through Kirkland Signature. We have been using them for about 2 years and have never had any issues. If your child does well with Huggies regular diapers (Supreme's are different- they are shaped different and meant to fit different than regular Huggies), then they will do fine with Kirkland Signature. Not all babies bodies do well with Huggies though.

As for the Kirkland wipes, they are not made by KC. I don't care for them myself, I like the Huggies better.
