My daughter is 15 months old and almost every morning she wakes up and her diaper has leaked, she is soaked and so is her bed. I have tried all of the brand name diapers and the Babies R Us brand and nothing seems to hold overnight. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank your for all of the suggestions. I feel silly because I did not even think of going up to the next size diapers but I went out that day and bought the next size and my daughter has woken up dry since then. We both thank you!

When this was happening to us one of the diaper companies suggested using the next size diaper, they hold more. It worked for us. Good luck!

Try the Huggies overnights or Huggies NightTime Pullups.
I have used both for both my son and daughter. I always use pampers except at night I use Huggies.

like most of the other responses, I use the Huggies Overnights. The work great, with no leaks.

I heard you can buy overnight diapers. Look for them at the store next time.

I agree that it may be time to move to the next size diaper, that worked for me and I also find that huggies OVERNIGHT diapers hold a lot, I have yet to have one leak

My daughter has always urinated ALOT at night (she's 2.5 now). Also, she's a tummy sleeper, so in some diapers, she would leak out the front, through her PJ’s and sheets. We now only put her in Pampers (her “night-time” diapers), which seems to really work. We also make sure they are really secure, no folds, not crooked etc. and higher in the front than the back. Sometimes they’ll leak a bit, but not as much as before!

Have you tried the inserts that go into diapers for extra protection? I haven't used them myself but have heard they can be very helpful for night time.

I had the same problem and realized it was time to move to the next size. Even though she still fit in a smaller sizes weight limits she was ready for the next one. She stopped leaking as soon as I bumped it up and it didn't really matter what brand I used.

I also use diaper doublers from Publix. I haven't had any problems with leaking since.

Hi,

I had a problem with my son's diapers leaking when he was little. I found that the Walmart ones that have the John Lennon animals on them (purple box) worked the best for us. They didn't leak at all ever. Not sure if they will work for you too but if you haven't tried them maybe they will. Good Luck.

Hi, Huggies sells overnight strength diapers. These are normal diapers, not the pull ups (though they have overnight pull ups as well). The overnights are more absorbant than normal diapers. We had the same issue with my son and we finally found the night time diapers. Sometimes he still can soak through them, but not as often.

Hi B..

Ususally when the diapers start to leak it is tome to move on to the next size. I have noticed that the weight they post on the package realy has no meaning sometimes. Hope this helps.

My son had problems with that. Luvs worked great for me. I did find that when he would leak it was time to move to the next size. Your child may still be in the weight guidelines for that diaper she’s in now, but it’s not always right. If moving her to the next size doesn’t work you can also buy these insert’s for her diaper. I think their called doublers, you can get then at Publix for $3.00 and there is about 20 in the package. Its just a padded insert for your child’s diaper to absorb more urine. Good Luck!!!!

Hi B.,
We had this problem with our son too. We tried a larger size diaper for night time and that worked for a while. Then we started using the smallest size of Good nights pull ups. Those work great! Good luck!

i use diaper doublers. they sell them at walmart publix etc. they are right next to the diapers in a blue plastic wrapping, they might not be called diaper doublers but they are basicly a maxi pad for urine. My daughter does the same thing and they save me from washing the sheets EVERY morning.

B.,
Maybe try some of the Good Nite pull ups by Huggies Brand. My daughter is three and still has to wear them at night. They get very soaked but hardly ever leak.

Good Luck,
L.

The only brand that has NEVER leaked on me is White Cloud. They sell them at Wal Mart and are pretty cheap. I was hesitant to buy them because they a generic brand but I love them! Pampers worked for me too, but they leaked sometimes, Huggies ALWAYS leaked but I hear they work well for boys. Also, make sure you are not giving your daughter too much liquids close to bedtime! Good Luck!

I have heard one of two things can help. One is to go up a size in diapers and two they have these inserts they sell at Publix that are like a pad that you put in their diapers and it is supposed to help soak up some of that overnight pee. My daughter has had this problem as well but I have just stopped giving her liquids after 6pm.

You could also try the Huggies "overnights." They worked well when my daughter was leaking all over too.
