Hello I had my son 6 months ago and have decided to stay home full time and not go back to work. Does anyone know of any play group/mom groups that are in the area to help socilize my new little one with other babies/kids?

What can I do next?

i agree about mother/son relationships! i have a 4 months old baby boy, who is the sweetest little thing

i live in the princeton area, and i am looking to socialize with new moms as well. the library is a good place, they should have programs. also, (i worked for princeton hospital, now i am on maternity leave, will go back for 2 days a week in mid september,) the hospital has classes for babies too.
for instance they have a yoga class at the princeton health and wellness center from aug 22 nd till sept 26, it does cost money but if you don't mind, its a place to meet other moms

if you are breastfeeding there is a breastfeeding support group every friday in the east windsor medical commons at the UMCP breast health center, i went to a few meetings there
this one is free and its a nice place to meet moms

you can do a search on google for moms groups in princeton, you might find something

good luck and you can always send me a message if you are bored!

Www.meetup.com is a great resource for local groups.

Good luck.

Princeton Health Care System has a lovely group called Bright Beginnings. They meet Wednesday mid-morning at a gym near 206/518 intersection.

http://www.princetonhcs.org/Default.aspx?p=360&d=11706

The website is a bit of a pain, but the group is great. Meet other new moms and learn a little something too.

I have also enjoyed their mommy & baby exercise class on Alexander Rd and their Postpartum Adjustment Support Group.

Also check out www.princetonkids.org they have a weekly email The various libraries in Mercer county and the Princeton Library are all nice and do stories at different days and times, mostly for 6mo and up, but if you just need to get out...

Oh and the MarketFair mall usually has many moms walking strollers to stay in the cool (or out of the snow!)

Have fun and best wishes!

If you are a nursing mom, the Princeton and Princeton-North La Leche League groups are great. Moms and babies all come together for information, support, and companionship. The Princeton-North group meets on the second and 4th Wednesdays of each month at the Mary Jacobs Library in Rocky Hill. You can drop in between 9:30 and 11:30. The meeting on the second Wednesday of the month is geared towards nursing babies, the other meeting is more geared towards nursing toddlers. It's a nice morning out!
