I have a dear friend who is having a baby in a couple of months and doesn't have a single thing!! She is very young and her family(single mom) is trying all they can to help her but she has been in and out of the hospital with health problems. I would love to help find someone who has a nice crib that could bless this girl! Unfortunately, I have none of my baby stuff as I have passed it on to other teenage moms after my son moved out of his crib he will be four soon! I am also looking for some suggestions for a nice place to host a few showers (one in Forney and one in Denton)? And was wondering if anyone has used the Park Lane Barnyard for a children's birthday party?

I don't have a crib but I have a highchair, exersaucer, and a carrier with the base to use in a car ( never been in an accident). She can have any or all of them if she needs them.
Are you looking for everything to be free?
Maybe she can sign up for help through a community agency or with her church.
Check out Goodwill and Salvation Army.
Also freecycle and craigslist are options.
I realize all of these options are not free of charge but the prices should be very nominal if any.
Plano Children's Advocacy Center might be able to direct you to a crib and other items. Try the locale resale shops, go to the big garage sales. You might try Salvation Army in East Plano... They have really nice furniture... I do not know if you can provide them your name for a reserve list if they get baby furniture in or not. My motto is it never hurts to inquire.
Good luck!
We used the Park Lane Barnyard for a birthday party for a 3 turning 4 year old, and it was a big hit with everyone! We rented the optional bounce house and pony ride and just served cake, ice cream, and used the drinks provided. It was a very easy, fun party.
You could try Craig's List or Freecycle to find baby items. Good luck!
You might consider suggesting she co-sleep and breastfeed. It's great for the baby, the mama, and their bond, and it has the added bonus of being the least expensive way to go about the infant days (no crib, no separate bed linens, no formula, no bottles, no baby monitor, no pacifiers, lower medical costs & less time off work (for when or if she works outside the home), etc.).
Just my 2 cents...
Best wishes for your friend and her family!
also try the just between friends sale http://dallas.jbfsale.com/
the next one is march 27-29. it's a huge consignment sale and is held twice a year. i have been going for 3 years now and have found some fabulous gently used or sometimes even brand new things. they usually have tons of exersaucers, swings, strollers, bouncers, etc. along with various toys and clothes. i've seen cribs there as well but haven't really looked them over since i wasn't shopping for one. i usually get my daughter's entire wardrobe for the season.
good luck!
I second the previous posters about Craigslist and Freecycle - also, the Divine Consign sale is coming up in Plano (starts March 1 at the Plano Convention Center) and I know there will be a LOT of great items there very cheap.
Concerning a shower in Forney:
I always see the billboard, and I have passed the beautiful house a few times:
The Regan (or Reagen) house.
It is right on Bois D'Arc and it is beautiful.
Look on craigslist for the baby items!

I don't have a crib but I do have a crib mattress that you can have if you want it. Just let me know. I live in Forney so it shouldn't be a problem. I have passed everything else on to a young single girl who didn't have anything either. I have a highchair (portable for 3 months to 3 years) that she can have also. I think that is all I have but I can look when I get home and see.
I'd suggest you make your subject clear that you need a crib so that more mamma's will view it. My sister was able to get a very nice portable crib on mammasource for your grand baby.
you might try freecycle or freepeats. People are very willing there to give away their gently used baby stuff.
