I am a photographer and I have a client looking for pictures to have done in a field of flowers or even a nice flower area with maybe an open field near by. Does anyone know of a good place? I've been to Renwick Preserve and taken pictures there..but there is no open field of flowers really. I'm willing to travel an hour outside of Plainfield. I was at Mather park a few weeks ago and there were tons of wild flowers. If you go back by the pavilion, there is a clearing with flowers as a backdrop. Mather park is on the east side of the one lane bridge on Renwick in Plainfield.

you might check out the Peck Farm nature area in Geneva. They usually have a very large area of wildflowers, there is also a large pond, farm buildings and silo.
agree that you should check out the prairie at the arboretum--or else the part distrtict prairie in naperville-- beautiful flowers right now
I would go to the Morton Arboretum and head to the Schulenberg Prairie - right now the wildflowers are in peak bloom - purple, yellow, pink. Probably if you check with the local park district they have some natural prairie areas that are in bloom right now - check their website.

Right here in Aurora at Philips Park Zoo there is an Award winning sunken Garden that is just Goergous right now! ( free to get in)
Cantigny in Wheaton has some wonderful gardens. Another idea is the Morton Arboretum in Lisle.
