We have an 11 year old dog and we are going on vacation in a few weeks. We would like to leave him with someone we can trust to really take good care of him. We adopted him just last year and have not been in the situation where we had to leave him with anyone other than family. Does anyone know of a loving sitter or boarding place for our senior dog?

Katie Davis Tyler is an excellent dog/cat sitter and she works at a veterinary clinic. Her number is ###-###-####. Highly recommend.
Kristinne's Critter Kare is amazing! Kristine will come to your home and feed your pets, play with them, walk them or take them to a doggy park. We use her every time we travel and have the peace of mind that are two dogs, several fish and turtles are in great care.
Call Kristinne @ ###-###-#### or ###-###-#### Tell her V. and Ray referred her.
hi nancy - we live in the sparr heights area (right below montrose) & see ads in the valley sun for local pet sitters all the time. you might want to check out the valley sun on line & look at it. you can also ask your vet, petco, etc...for any recommendations they may have.
We have been taking our dog to Starcrest Kennels in Sunland for 8 years now. They have a nice facility with A/C or heated indoor rooms and lots of outdoor space where the dogs can play in the day time. Our dog always seems excited to go there. She jumps around when we get there and greets the owners.

They also have a website-not sure what it is you can just google it though.
I leave my lab at Wagville in Silverlake (on the east side of Silverlake) when I go away and he loves it! There is indoor and outdoor play, no cages and really loving, caring staff. I am sure they could make arrangements for an older dog, including putting him on the small dog side where there's less play happening if that's what you want. They have a webcam so if you are worried about him or miss him, just check out what he's up to on the webcam from wherever you are. Or call - they will always give updates.
You can easily google Wagville, it's on San Fernando road.
